it is the coaching staff and team management up most priority to keep Aamer and Asif fit for this summer.

we already lost of of our key bowler in Gul for the T20 and asia cup.
if i was the coaching staff, i would advise Asif and Aamer not take part in fielding practices which include diving practice and certain type of catching drills.

i would also make sure the fitness coach works with them extra, make sure they complete proper warm ups and warm downs, regular messages should also be preformed during the series.

whats your views on this guys.

Bang on, if we are to do damage in test matches, it will be on opening mornings, and because of these two. I'm confident Akhtar can make a contribution in tests...

Aamer needs catching drills.

I don't want another Hobart incident.

I would have rested both from this tournament.

Look at how Finn is being rested and treated to prepare him for the tests against us and Aus.

tbf Asif has not bowled much for the past 6 months so he needs game time Aamer could have been rested from pyjama cricket.

i wouldnt play aamer against bangla to be honest.

play him against india, sril lanka and in the final we we get there.

i would also rest him for all T20's this summer and tour match's.

dont let anyone get out of catching practise. I think ajmal is enough proof why bowlers need to practrise fielding aswell

You can't make the whole squad practice hardcore in the heat and leave asif and aamer to chill out. We need to treat everyone equally or do we need another player with their egos so high and they can't get back on the ground. :malik

Plus we cannot rest until every single player is able to hold on to a red ball!! :ajmal

Player can get injured during practice even by watching drills only....!!!

but yes Proper Rest is important ....

im all for fielding practice for the whole squad.

but i was saying to take it easy for aamer and asif to unnecessarily dive to stop the ball or dive for catch's, cause this normally leads to injury.

I would rather have the whole team being able to dive and catch than having asif and aamer for this summer.

Short term or Long term?

But yeah, i agree that it would take more than 1 training camp to cure this disease.

I STILL think his bowling is more of a concern...

Aamer needs catching drills.

He doesnt need catching drills he just needs to field away from any women in the crowd.
