Azhar, Cronje, Salim Malik banned for match fixing
Gibbs six months for colluding with Cronje
Warne and Waugh, just a fine for providing weather information (What crap - basciatlly brushsed under the carpet)
Marlon Samuels - 2 years for passing info to a bookie - no details
So as far as punihsment goes we have everything from just a fine to lifetime ban. Considering at the moment the crime is spot fixing, not match fixing, seems like punishment will be somewhere in the middle.
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

India seemed to have taken a much firmer stance, which is probably why they have or at least have appeared to have stamped it out from their cricket.
On the other hand the same cannot be said about pak, where guys with shady cases were basically slapped on the wrist.
In doing so, and with dozens of other disciplinary issues that have followed, this is the message the PCB has sent to all cricketers and aspiring cricketers alike:
If you are good, you can get away with anything.
