Has Brett Lee bowled at 100MPH?

I was of the impression that only Akhtar and Tait have been recorded bowling at 100mph.The fastest bowl Lee bowled was 99.9 MPH in WC 2003,at least thats what i knew..But it seems he bowled 161kph in NZ.Here is the video.

Anyway, yes he has, in-fact I think it was 3 balls in a row over 100mph. I forgot the match but I am quite sure he did it.

Yes, Shoaib Akhtar also bowled 100mph in NZ but the ICC didn't deem it official. I believe this was also the problem in this game. Lee's 'official' (whatever that means) top speed came in the ICC WC 03 which was around 99mph and Shoaib's 'official' top speed is the 100mph ball he bowled in the same tournament.

Akhtar bowled 100mph in Pakistan againist NZ.The official speedgun of the broadcaster broke down and the speed was measured by another speed gun that a local company had put up.this is the reason i think it wasnt noted.Tait is officially 100mph but he didnt bowlthem in the WC did he?

Another point to make is that these guns are rounded up. Guns in WC 03 were to 1 dp iirc. This could be 160.5, hence not = to 100mph.

Because in NZ, they round up speeds to 3 s.f (possibly due to the small box scorecard they use). Thus, it is a question of accuracy, the ball's speed as it were measure in the 03WC might have been 160.5 but due to the above is shown at 161 on NZ TV.

tait's 100mph delivery has to be questioned too, england's speed guns are incredibly exaggerated

Don't think he so. Tait has hit 159kph in Australia and often been around that mark in his career.

Tatti, Lee and Akhtar have all hit 160kmh or 100mph.

He is fundamentally aware of his aura within the team. His exhilaration infects them.
