    Hafeez the so called professor.

Yes it's clearly evident the "professor" can't seem to get around the fact the he keeps getting out the same way, it's not the hardest thing to correct technically, a international player should easily correct it after watching the videos of his dismisal a few times yet he can't.

But what's really getting on my nerves is the fact that he keeps using the teams precious reviews. He doesn't bother consulting the other batsman, as soon as the bowl touches the pad he signals for a review. It costs the team in the long run.

The so called professor needs to figure out why isn't he using his god given brain. It's plain dumb the way he keeps getting out and then wastes the review.

To be fair to him, he wasn't in the mood to take a review last time, but Shahzad asked him to, and even then, I lipread Hafeez asking "sure?" and Shahzad nodded.

He seriously needs to play straight in the early part of his innings, especially considering he is adept at driving the ball

Once he gets set, the square of the wicket shots can come into play

    Waqar obviously ;)

I think Hafeez is not a confident player.

Too many passengers in the team, dont know where to start.

He's only going to score around 20 runs anyway. The review should be saved for proper batsmen like Younis, Misbah and Umar Gul.

Almost every review by Pak batsmen has been wasted. They think of it as a lifeline.

20 runs is a bit harsh, normally it's at 30 runs when he has a blonde moment.

Those 30 runs come from excellent timing though and hardly any singles.

I agree with you on the reviews being kept for the proper batsman unless u edge a lbw etc

I don't like the way he is getting out. I think on 2 occasions this world cup if not more he has got out the same way, he was trying to hit around the ball and it struck him on the pads, for a LBW.

It's more like 22, and I'll throw in an extra 0.22 too, just too make it a bit more uniform.

I will tell you why I think a international batsman should be able to correct this mistake is because it happened to me 2 years ago for the uni team.
2 matches in a row I got out lbw trying to play a straight bowl on the leg side.
the next training session coach told me I was trying to get easy runs on the leg side but mis reading the bowl line.
so he asked me when I bat in the nets not to hit any ball on the leg side. so the next 20 mins of net session I got, I played nearly every ball straight. it also helped me with my V shaped strokes going.

IMHO even though he keeps getting out in the same way and keeps making a fool out of himself . When he is not playing across the line He looks pretty technically correct [Great Timer of the ball] , and that's a rarity in Pakistan =)

Hafeez is pretty rubbish. He's averaging 30 since his comeback but you don't average 22 overall without good reason. He's like our Zaheer Khan, one "good" year but overall stats make for sorry reading.

Jack of all trades, master of none.
He is an OK bowler . He is not just a guy who can throw "The White Thing" . He can keep a consistent line can turn it a little on dry Pitches .
In Batting he has a good Technique , but commits the same mistakes again. So clearly he has a mental block or something right now .IF he can get rid of it he is one of the "better" openers we have. It is easy to critisize anyone but hard to realize how much effort the guy puts in . IMHO the whole team looks like they want to win this time .

yeh , But if you look at an over-all scenario .He adds "the most" to the team . And is certainly our #1 Opener right now . If Ahmad Shehzad can stop being so cocky and give respect to the bowlers maybe he can take that spot

What about his performances against England in England in the ODI series???

His hundred against the Kiwis in New Zealand where Pakistan hadnt won an ODI series for like 15-20 years???

Honestly, its fine to offer some constructive criticism but blind criticism just for the sake of it is not very pretty...
