My local postbox is painted Gold!

For those who do not know, the Royal Mail is painting nearby postboxes of every GB Athlete to have won Gold in the London 2012, in Gold (from Red).

Here's a pic of the Postbox on my road. Courtesy of Mo Farah who I have seen train up and down my road for the last 5 years!

Wow what a way to end the Olympics.

    Well chuffed!

We've had a few painted gold in Leeds; one for Ali Brownlie (triathlon) in Horsforth and one for Nicola Adams (boxing) in the university district. Will try and get a picture in due course!

Does he? I do not know, all I know is I have seen him run up/down my road, so I assume he was training.

    Still, it's a great feeling.

lol that is awesome! They should paint all post-boxes next to the winning athletes road gold, silver and bronze as a kind of an 'Olympic legacy' type thing lol

Mo Farah was bought up in Feltham and attended Isleworth and Syon secondary school. They painted then postbox next to Isleworth station gold after he won the 10000 metres last weekend.

Mo Farah running up/down your street? Dude, what were you up to - Enticing him with some flavourful proteins eh?

But this is a grand gesture. Well done, England.

where is joshua from? The super heavy weight boxer? His town doesn't deserve a gold postbox because the italian killed him and was robbed of gold.
