    Ground assault has just begun.

Someone has to step in and end this madness.

Its a disgrace that this has been let happen. The world has failed the Palestinian people by allowing this to continue

Can't believe that Israel are allowed to get away with all this. Its not even Muslims and Palestinians that can see it for the monster that it is but the majority of the world has seen their true colours now.

Its even more sickening that the likes of Saudi Arabia and the other gulf countries are doing absolutely nothing to help these people out.

There was a lovely quote which said that the Palestinians, like the Algerians and Egyptians before them are guilty of a crucial sin:

    Voting while being Muslim.

NBC Pulls Ayman Mohyeldin From Gaza Despite Powerful Reporting
Ayman Mohyeldin, an NBC News journalist whose powerful reporting from Gaza has drawn widespread praise, has been pulled out of the region, Glenn Greenwald reported on Thursday.

NBC told Greenwald that Mohyeldin, who has been replaced by chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel, was removed from the story due to "security concerns." The network refused to issue any further public comment on Thursday, or to explain why the security issues that demanded Mohyeldin's exit from Gaza did not apply to Engel. The silence ensured that the reasons behind Mohyeldin's sudden departure from a story he had owned remained a near-total mystery.

Greenwald's report follows a similar one from TV Newser, which wrote on Wednesday night that staffers inside the network were unhappy that Engel had fronted an "NBC Nightly News" segment on the killing of four children on a Gaza beach, despite the fact that Mohyeldin had actually witnessed the strike that killed the children and had been transmitting harrowing and moving footage from its aftermath for hours.

Mohyeldin, who has many years of experience covering the region, has been providing some of the most up-close and vivid reporting from Gaza and Israel in the weeks since violence broke out there. His coverage of the conflict was singled out by Baltimore Sun critic David Zurawik on Thursday.

The site Mondoweiss, which covers the region from a pro-Palestinian perspective, speculated that Mohyeldin's social media activity could have been the cause of his removal from the story. Mondoweiss highlighted this Facebook post, which Moyheldin later deleted:
A source told HuffPost's Michael Calderone, however, that the Facebook post—along with a similar tweet—was not cited by NBC executives as a factor in its decision.

There was widespread bafflement and anger about NBC's actions on social media. The hashtag #LetAymanReport trended on Twitter throughout Thursday. Moyheldin, however, stayed silent.

The situation in Palestine is not a Palestinian issue, rather an Islamic one. This is what Salahuddeen al Ayyubi (rahimahullah) said one day, while some scholars were busy with 'minor' issues, ignoring the plight of the Ummah (just like today):

كيف أبتسم والأقصى أسير والله إني لأستحي من الله أن أبتسم وإخواني هناك يعذبون ويقتلون
How can I smile while al-Aqsa is occupied. By Allah, I am ashamed towards Allah to smile while my brothers are punished and killed there.

Ya Allah sharpen the sights of the Palestinians.
Ya Allah let their fasting increase their focus.
    Ya Allah strengthen their resolve.
Ya Allah let a thundering storm of rockets blacken the sky and befall the Zionists.
Ya Allah bless the ammunition of the Palestinians.
Ya Allah let each round penetrate a thousand cowardly Zionists.
Ya Allah let the stones of the Palestinian youth grow to be boulders.
Ya Allah let their slingshots grow to be catapults.

Ya Allah let terror enter the hearts of the Zionists, followed by bullets.
Ya Allah bring confusion and chaos to their ranks.
Ya Allah allow for the Zionist armour and tanks to become burning ovens of death for them.
Ya Allah let homemade explosives shred them.
Ya Allah let their sophisticated weaponry betray them and turn upon them.
Ya Allah let the hands of the Palestinians grasp the necks of the Zionists and break them.
Ya Allah let the Zionists drown in the Muslim blood they have shed.

Ya Allah let the fiery graves of the Zionists call to them and embrace them.
Ya Allah prepare the gardens of Jannah for your courageous shuhada

Oh Allah send from you another Salahuddin! Ameen Thumma Ameen

I have not seen a single post on PP supporting the killing of the Israeli teens
Yet there has been many posters supporting the Israeli massacre

Using PP as a source, Israeli supporters (none of whom are Israeli) are far more supportive of Israel killing Palestinians than the other way round

They were killing kids while the whole world was watching, so not sure if they need any distraction.

What do you mean "anyone who supports Israel" ? It Was about the murder of the children on the beach.

But then again I am not surprised, only a narrow minded (and totally unknowledgeable) shiv supporter would justify the murders of the kids.

Btw a CNN reporter called the Israelis **** last night who were cheering on the airstrikes, hope she doesn't loser her job.

The worlds most cowardly army enters Gaza via land, sea & air in a bid to kill as many innocent civilians as it possibly can. They have clearly said Hamas will not be wiped out, this is not possible. The idea is to once again collectively punish the Palestinians for uniting over the last few months.

Their sick mentality is best summed up here.

Israeli reserve major general Oren Shachor, who explained: “If we kill their families, that will frighten them.”

    http://www.theguardian.com/commentis...ccupied-people

As for the Palestinian resistance, these guys have already shown immense bravery by entering Israel by sea and underground tunnels. They will continue to do their best now in defending their families and land by invading terrorists.

These biannual Gazan conflicts don't deserve as much attention as the gradual ethnic cleansing of the west bank by stealing of palestinian land by Israeli settlers. That is the real issue. Israel is trying to make the 2 state solution an impossibility by building settlements for 700,000 of its citizens all across palestine.

I've read a lot of comments by Israeli people calling Palestinians "cockroaches" and "pests". These guys are treating the Palestinians in much the same way that Hitler treated them.

If anyone should no how it feels to be displaced, separated from ones families and being helpless, its them. But I guess "kuttay ki dumb, teri ke teri".

    Hamas are elected terrorists?

The 'Russian Separatists' inside Ukraine will never be label 'Terrorists'

Why? Because they dont have Islam as a religion.

Notice how the media do not describe the Russians behind shooting of a plane as 'Terrorists'?

YET when an elected party has people wanting to defend itself, they are known as Terrorist??

    WOW....

Israel has announced it will pay university students to circulate pro-Israeli information on social media networks, without having to identify themselves as working for the government.

The move was publicised in a statement from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, the Associated Press reported. Students will receive scholarships to "engage international audiences online" and combat anti-Semitism and calls to boycott Israel, it was alleged.

In 2012, a Palestinian-run blog reported similar arrangements between the National Union of Israeli Students and the Israeli government. Students would be paid $2,000 to post pro-Israel messages online for five hours a week.

According to Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz, the most recent proposition is being spearheaded by Danny Seaman, who was slammed by the media for writing anti-Muslim messages on Facebook.

Students will be organised into units at each university, with a chief co-ordinator who receives a full scholarship, three desk co-ordinators for language, graphics and research who receive lesser scholarships and students termed “activists” who will receive a “minimal scholarship”, the Independent reported.
Won't be surprised if few posting here are one of them.

CNN Removes Reporter Diana Magnay From Israel-Gaza After '****' Tweet

NEW YORK -- CNN has removed correspondent Diana Magnay from covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after she tweeted that Israelis who were cheering the bombing of Gaza, and who had allegedly threatened her, were “****.”

“After being threatened and harassed before and during a liveshot, Diana reacted angrily on Twitter,” a CNN spokeswoman said in a statement to The Huffington Post.

“She deeply regrets the language used, which was aimed directly at those who had been targeting our crew," the spokeswoman continued. "She certainly meant no offense to anyone beyond that group, and she and CNN apologize for any offense that may have been taken.”

The spokeswoman said Magnay has been assigned to Moscow.

Magnay appeared on CNN Thursday from a hill overlooking the Israel-Gaza border. While she reported, Israelis could be heard near her cheering as missiles were fired at Gaza.

After the liveshot, Magnay tweeted: “Israelis on hill above Sderot cheer as bombs land on #gaza; threaten to ‘destroy our car if I say a word wrong’. ****.” The tweet was quickly removed, but not before it had been retweeted more than 200 times.

The removal of Magnay comes a day after NBC News pulled Ayman Mohyeldin from Gaza.

NBC's decision to remove the widely praised Mohyeldin, and unwillingness to explain why, has been met with anger and frustration from journalists inside and outside the network.

A source with knowledge of the decision told The Huffington Post that NBC executives cited security concerns. But at the same time Moyheldin was pulled, NBC assigned chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel to Gaza.

One of Mohyeldin's tweets and Facebook posts were recently deleted, a move that has fueled speculation that his social media use could have been the cause for his removal. But the source said the reason given internally by network executives was security.

here we go, one coward has come out of hiding. a tribute to safeguard civilians? are you on crack? they are firing into a heavily populated area that they occupy. Yes thats right they know exactlyw aht they are doing and why. it is deliberate and calucalted. Hence why it is cruel and inhumane. Its like locking up an animal, and then prodding it with an electirc cattle prod, then crying when it lashes out.

oh and you accuse me of keeping quiet at the atrocities against Hinuds in pakistan. Its abhorrant , end of and unislamic, i deplore such behaviour and have said so at numerous times. Here let me spell it out for you, any minority who is subjected to discrimination, killing or injustice has my support. End of. No compromises , no excuses. I am a Muslim therefore it is against my creed to support discrimination.
Injustice in Syria is haraam, Libya haraam, Pakistan Haraam. i could go on.

if pandits have been expelled and ethnically cleansed that is wrong too. No one should have to leave their homes because they are different. That is my belief and is compatible with my creed.

Now that i have clarified, its your turn! Are you still indifferent to suffering and will still use excuses?

I can't understand how someone can support israel in this issue. They are retaliating for their 3 teen life lost by bombing on heavily populated civilian areas and those who can't see this will understand it only if his kid or brother was involved in it. For God's sake atleast consider the Palestinians as humans. They are not any animal who can be butchered by anyone like they wish.

Actually, there was a public outcry in the Israel when some elephants were panicking thanks to Hamas' rockets

So, we have to be fair, and should acknowledge that, if not for Palestinians, Israelis do feel pain for animals.

The Pahartali European Club (in India) had a board where it was written "Dogs and Indians not allowed" (that's why Pritilata Waddedar - first Indian woman of the revolutionary movement - attacked it) ; and such boards were found in all colonized lands (China, etc).

Perhaps you, a rabid supporter of the British imperial gluttony (as you support Israel now, which is just the latest avatar of the same disease), should have said "at least spare the dogs, but not Indians, as they don't treat their fellow Indians any better" ?

Teenager killed in anti-Israeli protests in India-held Kashmir
The boy, a ninth-class student, was killed in the village of Khudwani, 60 kilometres (40 miles) south of Srinagar, the main city of the disputed Muslim-majority region of Kashmir.

The Indian police officer said the Kashmri youngster, identified as Suhail Ahmad Lone, was believed to be around 14 or 15.

“The boy died in (police) firing on anti-Israel protesters who were also angry about injuries suffered by other protesters during earlier demonstrations,” a senior police officer told AFP.

A police statement called the killing “unfortunate”.

The youngster's death marked the first fatality in a string of demonstrations across the Himalayan territory that have been staged against the Israeli military campaign.

More protests erupted following the boy's death and spread to at least two nearby towns where police used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

Kashmir has witnessed massive pro-Palestinian protests almost every day since Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza. Protesters have burned Israeli flags and clashed with government forces at several places in the region.

The protests have been occurring on an almost daily basis in the Kashmir valley which has been at the centre of a quarter-century revolt against Indian rule.

The demonstrators, some holding placards with “Save Gaza” written on them, chanted “Down with Israel”, “Down with America” and hurled stones at government forces.

Indian government forces are seeking to prevent the protests from spreading in the volatile region.

About a dozen rebel groups have been fighting Indian forces since 1989 for independence or merger of Kashmir with Pakistan, which also claims the territory.

The fighting, and India's tense relations with nuclear-armed rival Pakistan, have made Kashmir one of the most militarised zones in the world and has left tens of thousands, mostly civilians dead – AP/AFP

I was watching Bill Clinton interview on NDTV. He said Hamas did fire rockets deliberately knowing Israel would hit back so that they can gain sympathy and support.

I don't know what to say about it because I am torn between both groups. Because I have always supported Israel because they have always been a natural partner with India against Islamic terrorism. But I think Israel have taken this fight too far. Saw few clips of kids getting killed and it really made me sad and left numb. Having said that Hamas should stop firing rockets and they should know that whatever they are doing is hurting their own people.

agree with you, but while we're on the subject of quoting gandhi:

“Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs... Surely it would be a crime against humanity to reduce the proud Arabs so that Palestine can be restored to the Jews partly or wholly as their national home”

Iran will continue support for Palestinian resistance: Larijani
Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has censured Tel Aviv’s deadly strikes on Gaza, saying the Iranian nation will support Palestinians in their resistance against the Israeli regime.

The senior Iranian lawmaker made the comments in separate telephone conversations with Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shalah and Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Meshaal on Thursday.

Larijani further called on the Muslim states to “leave aside their differences” and throw their weight behind the Palestinian nation’s resistance in the face of Israeli aggression.
“The great Iranian nation has stood and will stand by the oppressed Palestinian people under all circumstances and will support their legitimate struggles,” added Larijani, stressing that Palestinians will “definitely” emerge victorious in their resistance against Israel.
Abdullah, for his part, thanked Iran for keeping up “generous support” for the Palestinian nation, calling on all countries in the region to help the Palestinians in their resistance.

Meshaal also told Larijani that Palestinian resistance movements, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, are standing united and working together to counter Israeli assaults on the Gaza Strip.

The Islamic Republic’s unwavering support has played a significant role in the victories achieved by the Palestinian nation, added the senior Hamas official.

The Israeli military has so far killed nearly 250 people and injured at least 1,900 others since it began its new onslaught against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on July 8.

Palestinian resistance fighters have also responded to the Israeli air raids by firing a barrage of rockets deep into Israeli cities.

On Thursday, Israeli forces launched a ground offensive against the blockaded sliver after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to push the aggression against Gaza into a new stage.

Yes, good on the French govt. for being the only country in the civilized world to ban pro Palestine rallies because of the actions of a little number, and the "synagogue attacked" you're referring to was due to Jewish Defence League (JDL) members causing havoc all over under the maternal gaze of the French police (CRS) which remained static ; after provoking for few hours (using slogans on Palestine, Algeria, ... no one here would use to wish happy birthday to his parents, for instance), some (dumb) pro Palestinian young men did chase them and then they naturally fled away (because, obviously, they only fight when the ratio is like 15:1 in their favour) and these young Muslim men cause damages on the synagogue in the process (the JDL itself organized its "meeting" next to the synagogue, announcing it on Twitter - with the perennial treats accompanying it - so they were expecting - wishing for ? - it), and then, what a "coincidence", the CRS intervened (to protect the JDL goons ?).

The biased media reported that pro Palestinian young men attacked a synagogue (as it was done freely) when, in fact, it was the JDL members who first begin the hostilities - also, let's remember that the JDL (a bunch of armed hooligans bullying "anti Semites", or what they perceive to be such) has been banned even in the US, says a lot on France.

Thankfully it has been captured on video and spread all over the social networks, no one in France is fool enough to believe the "official" media lies:

Stupid Muslims when will they understand. That 9th grade pro Palestinian demonstrator shot dead in Indian occupied Kashmir was probably asking for it too.

I don't get why the French would ban the freedom of speech of an entire and vastly diverse group based on the actions of a few thugs. Instead, they should indiscriminately fire into crowds of teenagers and children like the Indians - much more logic in that solution.

Israel's response to the Hamas rockets is totally out of proportion, cruel and frankly indefensible. However I agree with you that Hamas are partly responsible for the deaths of their own citizens. Had they accepted the Egypt brokered peace deal and stopped firing rockets there would not have been a ground invasion into Gaza.

Even President Abbas has begged Hamas to stop firing the rockets.

    And admire the irony:

and then wait for another round in a few months? No, the line must be drawn somewhere. Make a stand now or else it keeps happening every now and again. Isreal must lift the blockade otherwise there is no difference to dying now or dying in afew months time. The people of Gaza are beseiged and over 450 have been killed since the last ceasefire. The ceasefire proposal was a non starter.
