I can take some solace from the fact that some people who I really don't like will be having a really bad day today 😳

Another embarrasing performance. 4 defeats in our last 5 league games. The club is a shambles atm. The players seemed to have given up. No desire no guts no bottle on the pitch. An absolutely abject performance. In the last month we've only managed to beat two non-league sides. The manager needs to go at the end of the season he is finished. We spent 90m in the summer and have gone backwards. We wont make Top 4 and we will get embarrassed in the FA Cup SF.

without Alexis we are a midtable team its as simple as that. Will probably finish 7th at this rate.

All that possession and hardly any chances created lol. The players showed no fight and the defending was awful. Seems as though there was no preparation for WBA set plays . Also there was no fight and leadership whilst defending them.
Can't wait for the season to end and can't wait for Wenger to leave. This club badly needs change. The manager and some of the players need to go.

Arsenal's players may have finally realised that the only way they can get rid of Wenger is if the club fails to retain its coveted fourth-place trophy.

Arsenal lost to West Brom by 2 goals.

Looks like Wenger wants to continue according to reports from John Cross of the Mirror and the Telegraph.

The Arsenal board need to withdraw the contract offer to wenger. The sooner Kronke and wenger both leave the better for arsenal.

I have a feeling Wenger will stay at Arsenal
-

strong links in the press that Alexis is Chelseas number one summer target. Hazard linked to Real Madrid strongly too.
If we let Alexis go to Chelsea and Wenger re-signs then Arsenal is done for the next 3 or 4 years.

Looking online seems it was getting nasty in the stands yesterday.
Some Arsenal fans fighting amongst themselves inside and outside the ground, Robbie from Arsenal Fan TV got shoved and shouted at.

6th position is likely end of season finish and even if we manage to some how get a jammy FA cup win its simply not good enough. Wenger needs to go end of season as do quite a few of the unperforming players.
The club will under go a transitional period but has to stop going backwards under wenger 1st.

Wholesale changes required if team need to achieve anything. As some people mentioned in Guardian comments moving to Europa league will be a better option rather than clinging to 4th position and passing first round in UCL as they have more chance of winning a European Trophy.

Arsenal beat West Ham 3-0 and Wenger gets yet another lifeline.
The issue is, not only is his style and methodology stale but the players don't seem to want him either. He must go and it will probably take 2 seasons after his departure for Arsenal to see some real change so the sooner the better.

Another abject performance. If this man stays in a job then Arsenal Board's is proven as the most insipid and incompetent board in world football. Arsenal are an embarrassment to watch.
If Wenger has any dignity he would announce hes leaving after the game.
Clearly hes lost the dressing room.

adil, havent ozil and sanchez both came out saying they will only stay if wenger stays?
if wenger goes, along side ozil and sanchez - tbh honest as thr contract runs out shortly - you wont get much for them, and tbh if these two leave - which top player will want to come to you, as if these two leave - no other player in the world would see you as a top team.

@finalfantasy7 Ozil has been pathetic all season. He says he loves Wengers because Wenger lets him play in his comfort zone and he is never challenged which suits a lazy player like Ozil.
Alexis hasnt said he will re-sign just that he wants to stay in London.
Sanchez will leave with or without Wenger staying.
Arsenal could make a move for a Simeone or Sampaoli or an upcoming manager like Tuchel.
Arsenal are the 5th richest club in the world. With the right manager and wages we can still attract big names.
Wenger is finished though and the whole squad needs an upgrade.
-
11th April 2017, 09:56 #427
Another gutless performance and its all summed up when you have a useless player like walcott as captain, the club needs a new manager and a host of new players.. shambolic season which will only get worse as the last few games are played!
-

As much as it pains me to see Arsenal lose, the current situation has gone on long enough, and so if every loss means we move on from the current manager, players then so be it.

It can only really get better if Wenger leaves, if he stays, your only hope is getting in a decent director of football to help bring in talent because Wenger obviously has failed to do that for a long time now. 1-2 first team signings within a season isn't good enough especially with the poor squad Arsenal have.
-
12th April 2017, 13:05 #433
I agree.
We need wholesale changes.
From Manager to Directer of football (even if Wenger leaves), new central defenders, striker, holding midfielder...
It could happen overnight but I'm ready for the long haul and by this I mean maximum two to three seasons under a new manager.
-
12th April 2017, 20:39 #434
Exactly. Even if a new manager comes in, brings young talent and finishes 5th, it will still be better because you won't have an ageing squad performing at the same below par level every season, instead you'll have a squad that's improving and will be better suited to modern football after it's polished.

great win today, surprised me thought City would expose us. Showed great guts passion and desire. Thats we want to see some passion for that shirt and the fans. Heads didnt drop after Agueros goal and rallied to win. its very frustrating we never played like this when the title was on the line in the PL.
Id love for Wenger to leave on a high after beating Chelsea in the UCL Final.
Need to focus on the league and try to secure UCL although it will be extremely difficult now to achieve that.

Not an easy thing to admit but it is nice to have snide players, even xhaka is beginning to that now instead of stupid fouls.
It's wrong but it works
