Well nobody has drawn us at home yet so I hope it is a good team like Spurs who do it. I'd be fine with a draw vs Tottenham.

Going into this season, I was fine if we finished in the Top 5. As long as that happens, I'll be happy.

Brilliant first-half goals from both sides. Pedro's equaliser has set the stage for a cracking second half.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City all win. Man Utd and Arsenal to play tomorrow. Great goal by Pedro and Eriksson as well. Big blow for Liverpool with Coutinho being stretchered off and Sturridge struggling as well. With Lallana still out as well coming in to the festive season we are without crucial players. Spurs were the ones that dropped points today, I did expect them to fall away from the title race after a good start. They don't have the players to lest the race. This was a game the old Liverpool would have drawn or even lost, under Klopp we have a different mentality.

What type of tactics has Conte been using? Pressing, tiki-taka or counter-attack?

I'd say the pressing has been decent.

We haven't been one-dimensional with our tactics, therefore, our attack has been flourishing against all teams, and Hazard, Diego and Moses are thriving under the current setup.

City paid the price for missing some excellent chances. Chelsea in the second half played brilliantly. The goal by Costa was class, keeper should have done better for the Willian one. Pressure is now on Liverpool to win tomorrow.

The same Vardy who broke the EPL record by scoring in 11 consecutive games last season has failed to register a single shot on target in his last 11.5 hours of Premier League action! (according to Squawka)

Sums up Leicester's bizarre title defence. A relegation battle could be on the cards for them.

Our goalkeeper and our defence is better than Liverpool. We're overall a better team than Liverpool. How can you take a team that has Milner as a lb and Lucas and lovern as cbs seriously?

To do that he will need to win the premier league title maybe more than once. He isn't going to win the league with Karius as gk, Milner as a lb, Lucas at cb.

In all the time that Wenger has been at Arsenal, has he ever taken them to a UCL final? He specialises in qualifying for the Champions League with his efficiency when it comes to top-four finishes in the EPL, but I don't recall him achieving anything memorable in the UCL, which is considered to be the pinnacle of modern day football.

As far as I'm concerned, Klopp taking an underdog club like Dortmund to the UCL final is a greater managerial achievement than any of Arsene's.

Also, Klopp won back-to-back Bundesliga titles with Dortmund. Doesn't make sense to compare Wenger's time at Arsenal with Klopp's time at Liverpool. Atleast he hasn't had massive droughts where he goes many years without winning a major title like Wenger has.

Yes Wengers champions league record isn't the best, but other one champions league final what has klopp ever done in the champions league?

Also once klopp pressing style was figured out in Germany he left dortmund.

Dortmund weren't that much of underdogs, a team with Lewendowski, Reus,Gotze,Gundogan, Hummels,Subotic isn't underdogs. It's a very good team. Yes it was an outstanding achievement to get to the champions league final but not as good as your making out. Wenger got to the champions league final with Flamini as lb,Sendoros as a cb, an 18 year old cm in cesc fabregas. So that isn't an achievement?

Yes klopp did good to win the league but his dortmund team was the best after Bayern. Once Bayern bought pep in klopp couldn't even get close to him. Bundasliga is competitive so if your going to play that cats that it's a poor league than Klopp's achievement of winning the league should be downplayed as he still had a good team.

Overall wenger has a had a better career than Klopp, but Klopp is currently the better manager. For klopp to be better than wenger he has to win the premier league at least once. Wenger isn't the greatest manger in the world, I wouldn't put him up there with greats of all time but he is certainly just below them. Klopp has a bit of work to do before surpassing wenger.

Also klopp hasn't won a major trophy since 2012 so let's not talk as if he hasn't gone a long time without winning a trophy.

I would say Wenger has had a longer, rather than better career compared to Klopp. In fact, it's so long that I had no idea he ever reached the UCL final.

It's not fair to compare the number of titles they've accumulated due to Wenger having been a manager for far longer. That's like comparing a team's ODI score with another team's T20I score without accounting for the difference between the number of overs.

I reckon if Klopp could continue managing at the same level for another decade or two, he would end up with a far better record than Wenger.

Wenger also deserves strong criticism for his notorious reluctance to buy somewhat expensive top players, despite Arsenal not lacking funds. Not a good trait for the manager of a big club to have.

Well he has reached it , it's not hard to forget considering how we lost the final and the team we lost too.

So you can't compare there league titles, but you can compare there whole careers where klopp has been managing for about half the time wenger has? Who's to say klopp doesn't win anything again, will he still be a better manager than wenger?

Yes klopps this footballing genius who puts Milner at lb,Lucas as a CB, who can't sign a decent goalkeeper, who refuses to play a defensive midfielder. If he carries on with decisions like this he can definitely be a better manager than wenger .

Yes wenger does deserve criticism for not signing big players, but what big players has klopp signed at Liverpool or Dortmund for that matter? Yet you praise him like there is no tomorrow. Liverpool needed a lb, he didn't sign one. If it was wenger he would get criticism but media darling klopp can get away with it. Not playing a recognised dm in a league as physical as the premier league only media darling jurgen can get away with such a crime. The things wenger gets criticism for klopp is equally as guilty. If you know anything about klopp you should know he doesn't like to spend big in the transfer market like wenger. But of course you won't give him stick for that.

Sometimes instead of relaying on the perception the media has on mangers, you should look more closely at things. Klopp is similar to wenger than people think, but because he is more friendly with the media and because he is liked he is allowed to get with poor decision making. Not signing a lb, a striker, and a dm was a naive, foolish , and poor footballing decision. Wenger has bought the players we need this summer so can't be critizced for this summers window.

You raise some good points, however, at the end of the day results are what count and Wenger has had a fairly poor decade in terms of that. For all his flaws, Klopp has achieved a lot more than Arsene in this particular period of time.

Time will tell whether he will be able to match his past achievements for sustained periods in the future, or fall away like Jose seems to have. I'd say he's had a pretty good start at Liverpool considering the state of the team when he arrived, but they still have some glaring deficiencies (defence) which may prove costly in the title race.

Too early to declare one manager superior to the other, mainly because Klopp is just 49 years old, which is pretty young for a manager, but I reckon he has a higher ceiling than Wenger who's unlikely to have too much left in his (managerial) tank at such an advanced age.

Wenger has had a poor decade but it's not easy to match the previous decade before. Hopefully it's his last season and he can end on high. Don't think I could another poor season under wenger. This one has started well.

Wenger is a healthy guy, it won't be due to age if he retires at the end of the season

Don't think Wenger will win another EPL. In fact, I don't think Arsenal (regardless of manager) will win it for while...

Man City seem to be falling apart much to the surprise of those like me who fancied them for the title. Won't rule them out yet providing they can get a grip of themselves. We're still to reach the halfway point of the season. Arsenal won well today, other big boys play tomorrow and all again in midweek. After a poor start to the season I was expecting for reigning champs Leicester to defeat a top club sooner or later.

Fantastic stuff from Costa earlier. West Brom looked determined to hold on for a draw, therefore, the three points are invaluable with Arsenal breathing down our necks.

Liverpool's defence continues to cost them crucial points in the title battle. They can't score four in every game, after all.

What can I say. Liverpool again shot themselves in the foot by giving away easy goals. We should have won this one easily after Lallana gave us an early lead. Had most of the possession as should be the case at home but couldn't create many chances. We go again on Wednesday with hope in our heart!

Chelsea at the moment are looking like potential champs getting the job done professionally. They were not brilliant today but did enough for three more points. Liverpool easily took care of Middlesbrough thanks to a Adam Lallana double. We have gained three points on Arsenal who lost yesterday climbing to equal second position. Chelsea are the ones that need to drop a few points as far as Liverpool are concerned. I believe Chelsea will have a lean patch somewhere during the season, we must be ready to take advantage when it happens. Their visit to Anfield later in the season could be a decider although a lot of Football has to be played before then. Big weekend with Arsenal away to Man City followed by the Merseyside derby on Monday. At the moment it seems as if Chelsea are getting all the easy matches!

What a finish to the Merseyside derby that had me dancing in my living room First half was poor but we dominated the second half. Everton who are a team of thugs should have had Ross Barclay sent off for what was an attempted career ending tackle on Henderson. How the ref didn't show that incredibly overrated thug a red card is unbelievable. We didn't create many chances yet neither did they then went on to dominate the match in the middle of the park, was particularly impressed by Mane and Origi. I had a feeling that we'd score as we got increasingly closer by the minute where as Everton were just playing for a draw. Wanted Sturridge to come on a bit earlier although can understand why Klopp delayed bringing him on. Thought the ball had rebounded to safety, what do I know......Mane latched on to the bouncing ball like a tiger! We're still in it to win the league! As for yesterday's match even when Arsenal scored I felt Man City would still win, for what it's worth it was good to see Sterling score as well.

At 0-1 down to little Stoke I was fearing one off those off nights where we come unstuck. Mignolet made up for his error of conceding the first goal by saving Joe Allen's shot with his leg later in the first half. Had that gone in we would have struggled to get back in to the match even at fortress Anfield. The Stoke keeper will also be disappointed after conceding the equaliser from the near post when Lallana drilled it past him. From then on it was just a matter of time before we added a few more reducing the gap on Chelsea again. We were not at our fluent best yet still got the job done easily in the end. I feel we should have sold Lucas instead of the more productive Joe Allen, made a mistake by letting him go. Now on to the big one versus Man City at home that will be a six pointer. Walk on....

Good performance by the Liverpool against a strong Man City. Thought there would be more goals in it then just one that went in. Did well to reduce Man City to only a very few chances if any at all. We've had a good Christmas period with wins over Everton and Man City particularly pleasing. What is even more satisfying is firstly goals are coming from different players all over the park and secondly we're winning without Coutinho, so much for being a one man team ehh? Now we must defeat Sunderland on Monday then see how Chelsea react two days later for a change against Spurs. Again Raheem Sterling wanting to play with better players!!!!?

You are too quick to write plyers/mangers off. Pep has been slightly exposed but he needs to get rid a lot of these players so he can get players who fit his style. Jose gets more criticism because he is use to the premier league and because he blames everyone else apart from himself when Manchester United lose. Pep is in his 1st season of English football. If he is still performing this poorly by all means you can write him off but give him another summer window and pre season before writing him off.

Two crucial points dropped by Liverpool. It was a fair result with Liverpool being very average on the day. Sunderland were probably denied another penalty when Emre Can clearly handling the ball in the area, it was one we got away with. Now with Mane off on international duty and Sturridge limping off again we may very well need to bring in another forward this month whilst the window is open as Coutinho and Ings are still injured. Hopefully Spurs an take something off Chelsea on Wednesday.

Thrilling finish after Arsenal looked to be down and out. Ideal result as it keeps them in the revered fourth spot.

Brilliant match. Arsenal were bound to his back after being 3-0 down and they did so with venom. Had there been ten more minutes Arsenal would have won it. Overall, Arsenal and Liverpool have dropped points this week, their fans will be praying that Spurs can at least hold Chelsea tomorrow. At least Arsenal haven't gained on Liverpool after our draw at Sunderland. Keep an eye out on Man Utd who are slowly but surely climbing up the table whilst the ones currently above them are dropping points.

Very poor display from Chelsea. Wouldn't be such a demoralising loss if the team had shown some fight, but alas.

Can't let complacency set in despite our strong position at the top.

I really don't like Dele Alli.
