If he does, I hope you will get off the Internet and join him in the streets.

However, we both know he doesn't have the cojones for that. It will simply be a repeat of his previous rallies, i.e. empty rhetoric, calls for the Army to intervene and a flurry of U-Turns. After a few months when nothing will come out of it, he will look for an exit strategy and things will fizzle out.

In the 2018 Elections, if he doesn't win the majority again, he will again take to the streets and demand his version of justice.

There are only two possible solutions to end this drama. He either declares a revolution, or he simply puts his ego aside and accepts the verdict of the SC. Otherwise if he continues to play the game he is currently playing, this drama will never end. He cannot pick and choose when to have faith in the system. He cannot call the NA fake, yet PTI members draw salaries and utilize its privileges.

It is simply really. Accept the system or denounce it, but don't beat around the bush which is what he has been doing since 2013. If he doesn't believe in the SC and wants to take matters into his own hands, then he should do it the proper way.
Any decision other than PM getting kicked out will and should be unacceptable and will be a damning indictment of our justice system, which is a shambles as it is.

Asad Kharral pointed out that a meeting took place on 22nd November in Karachi after which He believes like T Qadri that Panama Gate's funeral is going to happen.

If that meeting took place between Justice Saqib Nisar or his agent or 3-4 judges than I give up on these threads.

Najam Sethi's video above ends with a certain body language and this doesn't look Good.

If now SC makes any commision than it would surely mean " Muqq Muqqa "

I quite like the joke, tamam tahqeeqat ke bad chief justice ba-izat bari ho gae

The judges lack the courage to call a spade a spade. They see themselves between the devil and the deep sea. They can neither convict the mighty PM nor they can acquit the plain liar and corrupt. This is how you play pn both sides of the wicket or rather don't play at all.

Hence, the commission to absolve themselves of their primary responsibility to judge.

Farmers mount protest against Qatari hunters over damage to crop

Chickpea farmers clashed with police in Mahni area of Mankera tehsil, in Bhakkar district, over damage to their crop caused allegedly by members of the Qatari royal family hunting houbara bustards.

After pronouncements were made through loudspeakers, the protesters gathered in Mahni and started marching towards the camps of hunters, but the police stopped them.

The police asked the protesters to disperse peacefully, but they insisted that the hunters should leave instead because they were destroying the only crop produced during the entire season.

The police baton-charged the protesters when they tried to continue their march towards the camps. The demonstrators shouted slogans against the government and the hunters.

Later on, Mankera’s Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Mustafa reached the spot and held negotiations with the protesters.

It was decided that a delegation of protesters would meet the royal hunters to find out whether or not the problem could be solved amicably through compensation etc.

A protester told Dawn that chickpea was the only crop suitable for the sandy soil of the area.

He said that hunting of the rare bird by Arab dignitaries had been continuing in the area for over a decade.

“The UAE hunters caused less damage to our crops and compensated the affected farmers handsomely whereas the Qataris pay a nominal compensation to only some of the farmers,” he said.

He said that last year the Qatari hunters announced that a hospital and a school would be built in the area when a similar protest had been held against them, but no initiative had been taken so far in this regard.

District Police Officer Khalid Masood claimed the damage inflicted on the crop was not as grave as made out to be. The local farmers had become used to getting compensation from the royal hunters by holding demonstrations against them.

He added that the Arab hunters had initiated various development projects in the area.

Not possible, Nooras are desperate to take their anger out on the PTI after the humiliation in the SC. And the other thing is that PK public arent the bravest when it comes to opposing dictatorships. I am afraid, the Nooras have won.

Besides an educated middle class, Pakistani public will never come out on the streets, there is a huge disconnect where they remain ignorant about how corruption effects their daily lives.

They don't even think of corruption as an issue.

The way this corrupt system is designed the architects made sure a common man accepts the flaws of this system as a normal thing.

You never know when a person starts thinking more about the afterlife and starts doing justice here. On merit its a no brainer that Nawaz Sharif did lie in the parliament and can be disqualified as per article 62/63. But remember if this article is applied then others will also be disqualified especially Imran Khan.

He wasn't corrupt but wasn't man enough to send a corrupt powerful PM home.

I see the KP has banned the thick Arabs from massacring these poor birds. But the real credit must go NS for his great leadership on this whole issue, after all IK is power hungry and would sink as low as getting endangered birds massacred for the sake of a fake letter.

Justice Wajuhuddin is openly accusing the SC of being corrupt. He took the whole bench apart in his analysis, in any other country there would be a constitutional crisis over this corrupt decision.

But isn't it a conflict of interest that the judge has prior relations with the defendant and this makes him ineligible to adjudicate on the case.

Logic would suggest that Saqib Nasir shouldn't be involved in the case since he has served in a Nawaz government.

Ruckus in National Assembly as Ayaz Sadiq turns down opposition privilege motions on Panamagate

Chaos ruled the National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday with the return of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to parliament as NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq rejected the opposition's privilege motions on Panamagate.

Footage of the NA showed incensed members of opposition ripping up copies of the session's agenda and the privilege motions as both PML-N and opposition lawmakers yelled slogans accusing each others' leaders of corruption.

The PTI and PPP submitted privilege motions in the NA claiming that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had misguided lawmakers in a speech regarding his assets delivered earlier this year.

The PPP in its privilege motion said the PM, through his lawyers, told the Supreme Court that his speech in the Parliament on May 16 was a ""political statement" and was not [meant] to be taken seriously. This implies that all his previous policy statements are also to be taken likewise."

In a similarly privilege motion, the PTI said the PM had told the House that he had "documents to prove his case." But his lawyers said no records were kept as business was conducted via ""parchis" (chits)", it stated.

The NA speaker clarified his decision to reject the motions, saying the matter is subjudice.

Having failed to win a verdict from the Supreme Court against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the Panamagate case last week, PTI on Tuesday decided to end its boycott of the NA and return to parliament. The SC last week deferred the hearing of the case till the first week of January.

Pandemonium broke out in the PTI benches when the NA speaker opened the floor to the PML-N's Saad Rafique on a point of order following PPP leader Khursheed Shah's speech instead of allowing PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi to speak.

Amid chants of 'thief, thief', Rafique lashed out at the members of opposition clustered before the speaker's bench who were throwing papers in the air, and accused PTI lawmakers of 'only wanting to fight'.

"The PTI is scheming against democracy," he said. "PTI workers are hooligans, that's all they do in politics... They are only attending the session so they can collect their salaries," he claimed.

Talking to the media outside the parliament, he strongly criticised the opposition parties in general and PTI in particular.

“The parliament is a political space, hence each and every word uttered on the floor is political. In the court one gives a legal statement which requires detailed elaboration as well as proofs,” said the PML-N stalwart.

Following the heated session, PTI members protested outside the parliament.

Really enjoyed Munshi Saad Rafique chitrol in and out the Parliament. What sort of democracy is this, which doesn't allow the opposition to present its arguments in the Parliament?

In all fairness this is such a stupid system. Obviously the speaker will always be loyal to his own party and would never forward any reference against his own partymen but would gladly do it against the opposition.

The speaker should be someone who is impartial.

In Britain they have this rule that the Speaker is returned unopposed from his constituency next time so he don't need to worry about his own seat and party.

A PM blatantly lies and nothing happens to him and hypocrites claim that it's not fake, only a totally stupid person wouldn't realise that IK was right about the fakeness of the parliament. Ultimately it is futile but nonetheless great work by the PTI in the last week, by showing up a corrupt SC and today showing the complete impotence of a fake Parliament.

I'm glad that the incoming CJ had some integrity and excused himself from the Panama case (given his history of working with the Nawaz government in the 90s). Also glad that three of the previous judges have been retained in the bench which means that the case is not back to square one. The two incoming judges are experts of money-laundering and corruption.

Seems like the Nooras were celebrating too early. The future looks bleak for them. I just hope the judges have the himmat to send a sitting PM home and also disqualify him from future elections.

Bro, I love to believe you but we know Nooras have so much blackmail material on these judges, that there will be some fudged verdict allowing NS to continue as PM and business as usual. Pak is a mafia state, and the mafia is everybody that has stake in keeping this criminal system going. People for patriotic reasons pretend that the army are not in on it, but I am more convinced than ever that they are at the Apex of the mafia. When the politicians fall out with army, it's nothing ideological, more like a fight over the spoils.

totally agree with this. besides, even if in the most unexpected of cases and nawaz is kicked out on his tind, his brother will step to fill those gold plated shoes in no time and we will be back to square one.

just look at the fanfare that has greeted zardari, one of the most corrupt people let alone politicians in the world, and even if thats not believed, an abjectly incompetent one given he they destroyed the country the last time he had a go.

the more things change, the more they stay the same. pakistan seems to be basket case where a failed state and peoples revolution seem to be the only things possible to force a real change.

PTI somehow managed to got some important documents and submitted them as evidence today those docs shows direct involvement of Princess Maryam so things are going to be more interesting...

The new proceedings started today and from now there will be daily proceedings for the foreseeable future. The judges questioned the Sharif's lawyers as to why you have presented three different money trails on three different occasions yet given proof of none of them. The Sharifs also changed their lawyers for these new proceedings.

Syed1 has explained it quite well.

PML N looks in trouble and now they are been bashed very badly on media. IK sahib has got some ICIJ emails translated from spanish into english and PTI lawyers have submitted those in Court. Good thing is court hasn't started the proceedings from zero so they are hearing in continuation from where they left before vacations. 5 Panel bench has been made by CJ.

I think PML N is going to pass a law very soon where by they will be able to appeal SC judgement.

CJ was Secretary Law in PML N's 2nd term in 1990's but he looks in form and looks determined.

I have taken back my retirement guys - Things starting to cool off after that Melbourne Disaster....

On Topic: If what Syed1 and TSPK are saying is correct then does this mean that this case will be finalized in this month ?? Daily hearings could expedite the proceedings ten fold and we can come to a definitive conclusion by the end of this month ??

Any possibility for such a scenario ??

Yes. Unless gullus don't attack SupremeCourt and another Chaangamaanga or Quetta S A Shah doesn't happen.

I doubt such a scenario could arise at the moment. A lot has happened since 2013/2014 as the military leadership is much more active and involved in transitioning things as smoothly as possible. Plus this is probably the most high profile case in the last decade or so which certainly means that arm twisting SC is extremely slim at the moment.

If any of the above does unfortunately conspire then I guess we might see some offensive from the Army leadership in order to keep peace and order in the country. The problem with this is that this kind of intervention would again make Badsha Salamat a Siasi Shaheed....AGAIN but under such a scenario it's better to prevent bloodshed and sustain law and order !!

    What do you think ??

SC proposes quizzing Sharifs over Panamagate

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday proposed calling members of the prime minister’s family to examine whether they would abide by the stance they had taken on four London flats in their previous statements.

“I propose to display the interviews of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children on the ownership of the London properties and then we can ask the other party (defendants) to deny these,” said Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, who is heading a five-judge bench hearing the Panama Papers case.

The suggestion came when Naeem Bokhari, the counsel for PTI chief Imran Khan, sought the court’s permission to refer to a number of interviews given by the prime minister, his wife and children on different occasions to highlight that every member of the Sharif family had taken a divergent stand on the ownership of the properties in London’s Park Lane.
