    OK, go and do that.

But you're not needed in Pak team, it doesn't select players based on who can lay his life for the country.

It selects players on who can do great in cricket and perform against the top sides, according to modern standards. You woefully fail there.

At the end of a stressful, depressing day, a dose of cricket is what can cheer us up.

this kind of militaristic language does seem misplaced doesn't it. but let's not forget this is a team that not so long ago could get enough of military salutes and boot camp push ups. the fanbase of which will perennially blame disastrous results on the players' lack of patriotism.

Prolly same way but naturally more extreme

Because this is one of Babars first time with this run of scores

For Shehzad this would have been 250th time

    True Sloggy.

I did expect more from him with the Bat though, he has played in AUS previously and Junaids made a big deal out of his prowess in such conditions

Shehzad performed exceptionally well in Domestic Odi cup UNLIKE OTHER OPENERS.
His QeA performance was good too, although he just played the final only due to BPL.

He should shut his mouth and keep on performing like this. Thats the best way of answering critics.

Shehzad it has not been a year

Every month he is getting more desperate

Shezzy should think about improving his slips catching. That way even if he's not among the runs, he will always have something to offer. A safe pair of hands in the cordon is a prized resource.

Ultimately learning some new skills or at least improving batting skills, is how he gets back into the fold; not through meaningless platitudes issued in the media.

Point is not often used in test matches. Three slips, gully, catching cover, mid off, mid on, short leg, deep fine leg - that's your standard field and if Shehzad wants to make himself undroppable he should work at being a slipper not a point.

Look at Mark Waugh for instance. He was a decent test match bat and a handy off spinner, but Australia must have had at least half a dozen guys who would have scored more heavily than Waugh. But because he was insanely good in the slips in addition to being a capable batsman and useful part timer, he stayed in the side despite a mediocre career average below 45 and an inability to get big hundreds, as well as a habit of getting out to soft dismissals. It was his slips fielding that made him indispensable.

Willing to lay down his life for the nation yet can't be bothered to pay his taxes on time. Mmm what was it Samuel Johnson said about patriotism?

LAHORE (Staff Report) – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday issued notices to as many as three national cricketers for not filing the tax returns.

According to a statement, notices have been served to Umar Akmal, Ahmad Shehzad and Zulfiqar Babar. The three cricketers had not filed tax returns for fiscal year 2014-15 despite previous warnings.

The notices read that seemingly the cricketers enjoy elite lifestyles but their paid property tax amount is very low, raising a question if they have declared their original sources of income with FBR or not.

Sif ji, with the same cemented feet, ugly stance, and against 4th grade bowlers.

Don't belong in intls, especially when we have much better folks playing now. He can be considered after 2 or 3 years if our openers end up very poor and he's doing great in domestics at that time.

I'd even take Kami over him as an opener. And Kami is on fire.

Yeah. But if selectors have any sense, theyd know the type of opposition, pitches and the way he's scoring. But then again you know how Inzi has been, anything can be expected.

Yes. But apart from that, we have better options already in the national team.

If we're looking for backup Kami can be effective against pace as an opener. Or even Butt would be a bit decent but not as explosive and a fast scorer as Kamran.

Pretty much this. However Butt is slightly better than Shehzad.

Kami is much much better than these 2 as an opener. Can score fast so has a role to play in modern cricket.

Both Butt and Shehzad are outdated articles who cant even manage decent bowling at their slow pace.

Shehzad is man on a mission , to embarrass the selectors for dropping him. Inzimam, even with his personal disliking for Shehzad will be hard pressed to take him to WI.

He should be worried about his embarrassing stats first(33 at 73) after an uninterrupted run for 4-5 years.

Shehzad is on fire. Won't mind him back in side if he is able to replicate his domestic performances in international. Surely an upgrade over Azhar.
(Heard from different sources that he is a very good captain too.)

The problem with these departmental and regional attacks is that they'll have 1 or 2 good bowlers(due to the talent pool being spread out) supported by garbage which makes it very easy to score.

When Shehzad scores, the bowling is garbage , when Hafeez fails in domestic cricket, bowling must be world class.

the problem with shehzad before was 2 things.

    1) attitude and approach towards the game
    2) no strike rotation.

Shehzad positives he will score runs make hundreds but at snails rate which is not suitable for the modern day cricket..

If he has fixed problem 2 then he holds half a chance, if he has fixed both then bring him in...

He wants to lay down his life for Pakistan.

But does not want to play above snail level strike rate. This guy will not even get into Zimbabwe's team.

    Inzi LOVES him though.

I am amazed how his strokes always find a fielder inside circle. Still so poor at strike rotation.

Poor technique, bad temperament, terrible match.

How about learning to rotate the strike and not eat up millions of dot balls, if such players focused on improving basics of game rather then talking all the time they would be world beaters as players.
