Is it a bad thing or good thing. Sometimes on such pitches you never know what to do. Better leave on opposition what they. Can Pakistan get to 240 here.

I would have preferred Aus batting first, I can only watch the first 1.5 hours of the match and watching Amir and Junaid bowl would have been alot more enjoyable than seeing us bat
-
19th January 2017, 02:01 #16
We were doing good by bowling first but i wanted to see us bat first and score a big score.

300 is the dream! But i think if we bowl as we have in this series, 260 is enough..
Happy with the team! Had no replacements for Asad, would've played Wahab instead of Hasan maybe?
Anyways hope for the best! Come on boys👊

I didn't think Aussies will bowl first - but they called the bluff. It would have been handy to play Wahab now.

Wonder if Shafiq will open today. He has been too slow for #4. Hafeez and Babar both batted at #3 and #4 respectively in the first match.

Batting first, if one of top 3 doesn't fire, don't think depth helps much. Besides, that depth is from Asad ....
But, if PAK posts say 245/9 - look at the options at MoHa - Amir, JK with new ball, Wahab, Hasan with old ball & 3 spinners. If Fremental doctor starts to blow, MoHa can use Amir & JK for 7 overs each in opening spell, still he'll have 2 pacers for middle over. These won't have any factor if Azhar or Misbah been Captain (I can show several matches with 5 X 10 bowling chart from Misbah), but MoHa could have used Wahab in short spells to get wickets. This AUS side doesn't have the depth of WC - won't survive Wahab's rhythmic spell if it's 100/3 ....
All these, because Inzi didn't send a pace bowling all-rounder - Hammad, Yamin or Fahim would have been gold here instead of Asad.

In my opinion, he wasn't VERY good (yes, he is still young and will be much better than Wahab i hope!)
For this pitch with the bounce I wanted Wahab's aggression..anyways happy with the team starting today let's see if batsmen set something decent for the bowlers to defend.

Unlikely that Sharjeel will succeed. But if he does succeed, the confidence that he will take from succeeding here will make him a world beater. Fingers crossed.
