I think Afridi came out in favour of Mohammad Amir when he wanted him in his T20 team so strange that remark.

It's not that strange, as fixing has come more and more under the spotlight, attitudes are hardening. Now it seems almost ludicrous that Herschelle Gibbs was given only a two year ban when he was involved. There really is no excuse these days, since the Pakistan trio case, everyone is far more aware of the pitfalls and the cricket boards are also giving far more guidance than was available back then.

Amir spoke the truth both to courts and the Pakistani public. Unlike the rest who kept lying for two-three years!

We now need to move on and I will back Amir and expect him to serve Pakistan cricket with total dedication and commitment
— Shahid Afridi (@SAfridiOfficial) January 1, 2016
Happy to have Amir back in team. He told me truth first time I asked him in England. He admitted his mistake we should back him now3/4

What about hitting the fan with the bat, bitting the ball and dancing on the pitch??? He should have been made a example in Pak Cricket but instead we made him a so called Hero...

Depends on what side of the bed Afridi got out off. His views can never be taken seriously.

As much as I would hate a lifetime ban on the likes of someone promising like sharjeel khan but this time it would be necessary if all parties involved indeed are guilty. By now all Pakistanis know the consequences.

I agree. Anyone caught fixing and is proven guilty should be banned for life.

First time,I could agree with him.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Totally agree. Not banning the trio for life was a huge blunder.

Hasnt afridi gone on record in the past detailing how he turned down approaches made to him without reporting these to the authorities?
-
18th March 2017, 11:13 #20
Been there done that. Did it make any difference? No. Even banning some great players like Salim Malik didn't make a difference.
Life ban is a really easy option which will ignore the real issue in Pakistan domestic. Until we do not improve the pay grades there people will keep risking their career in order to get more for their families.
It doesn't mean that we shouldn't punish them, but it won't solve the issue long term.
