I dont think Baber Azam could possibly have been dropped - the intention must be to see both Masood and Shehzad in this game and then pick the best performing one to open with Azhar in the first test.

If Masood and Shehzad open the batting in the actual test I would be literally praying for them to flop like tomorrow in every single innings, and Misbah as well, because he made that executive decision to play them, robbing Azam and Salahuddin a chance to play against easier opposition.
