This is not Protocol. This is need of the hour.

When we will make Pakistan first World Country than we will Operate like first world country. We don't want/need more blood be it be Bhutto or Sharif or Imran.
bro if you were the one sitting in the car in scorching heat for 1 hour you wouldn't be making such posts. Atleast i had an AC, people behind me were using paper fans, some people had their car broke down.

This is not a need of the hour.

On daily basis we have generals crossing over rawal Pindi, when their barricade comes, the road is closed for 10 minutes, the barricade crosses and traffic resume.

THe road was closed for 3-4 hour just because this women was sitting in a place. IF security is that much a hassel, then only secure the area concern, not the whole city

@Major supports PPP, I think he has better insight, I may be wrong in my analysis above.
PPP should announce that Aitizaz Ahsan is their leadER for GE 2018...in single stroke PPP will have a decent chance to show a respectable fight.

AAZ killed the brand, at least in punjab.
Aitizaz is the best solution at the moment for PPP
He is one of the very few who are respected by all the parties.

Nawaz's opponents nothing more than tissue paper: Maryam

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz said on Saturday that the opponents of her father, party chief Nawaz Sharif, were worthless and had nothing to rely on except sit-ins, NAB cases and the “umpire’s finger”.

Speaking at an event in Lahore, the former first daughter said cases were being filed against her father under a conspiracy.

“The witnesses who are produced before courts against my father aren’t even aware what they are there to testify about,” she added.
“They [the witnesses] are handed over papers and when they are asked about it in court, they have no idea what is written on them.”

Maryam said everyone knew that an iqama (UAE work permit) was obtained merely for a visa but it had been used to disqualify her father.

“My father’s political rivals are so scared of him that alliances are being formed to counter him,” she remarked.

She added that Nawaz’s opponents had nothing else, but sit-ins, NAB cases and third-party intervention to rely on for their political ambitions.

The PML-N leader pointed out that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had been repeatedly changing his stance in the Supreme Court.

“He [Imran] says he got struck on his head and that’s why he forgot about the details of his London flat sale,” she maintained.

“The helicopter that Imran Khan uses is run on the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government’s funds but nobody asks him about that.”

Maryam Nawaz to take part in 2018 General Election: sources

Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of former premier Nawaz Sharif, has decided to take part in the next General Election, DawnNews reported on Friday, citing sources in the PML-N.

She is set to contest the election from the NA-120 constituency in Lahore, where her father was elected in the 2013 polls, the source claimed.

She may also campaign for the provincial assembly from the PP-140 seat, according to the source.

Maryam, however, has yet to confirm or deny the reports of her running in the upcoming elections.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, 44, was born in Lahore on Oct 28, 1973. She claims to have taken an interest in politics since the 1999 coup that sent her family into exile. However, in interviews since then, she has claimed to be more interested in the world of politics and power that lies beyond the assemblies.

The former premier's daughter has been in the spotlight facing corruption references since the Panama Papers were released in April 2016. The leaks described her as "the owner of British Virgin Islands-based firms Nielsen Enterprises Limited and Nescoll Limited, incorporated in 1994 and 1993".

Maryam was also believed to be among those within the PML-N at the centre of the Dawn leaks. However, the then information minister, Pervez Rashid, was sacked for his alleged involvement in the leaks.

Last year, she campaigned for her mother, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, during the NA-120 by-poll following her father's disqualification from public office by the Supreme Court. Since Nawaz Sharif's ouster, she has taken a more active and visible role in party politics.

Maryam, who also actively campaigned in NA-120 for her father during the 2013 election, has faced criticism from senior politicians who say she has never held a position within a political party and lacks the experience necessary to contest the General Election or become an elected leader.

However, it is Maryam who has been singled out by political analysts as a successor to her father and uncle Shahbaz Sharif's legacy within the PML-N ─ not her brothers or cousin Hamza Shahbaz.

Shahbaz is actually Nawaz's younger brother.... and yes this will cause factions between the PML-N.

PMLN and Maryann do have an awful lot of morally corrupt supporters and then those they simply buy so anything can happen.

Although I think it’s now time for the military to intervene and dissolve this parliament and allow the judiciary to complete the convictions against these mafiaso family, friends and business associates.

Dont be so sure about that Lahore, Faisalabad and areas around there are pro Shehbaz that even Nawaz might lose to him if they go head to head let alone his daughter. But anyway less than 20-25% people vote for parties most vote in Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan for their biradri etc we might have had 3-4 different parties that have ruled in the last 15-20 years but in the end more than half the people are the same that changed parties before the election to go with the one they thought will come to power. Last election was the chance for PTI to be the opposition but that was taken away with rigging and ppp taking it. I am not sure they will be able to win it again as little has changed when it comes to election system hope I am wrong.
Some like @Mamoon etc on the forum have given up on PTI and IK and are sadly leaning towards Pmln etc but as someone that is living in Singapore and has seen how Lee Kuan Yew forced his country by the scruff of its neck from the 3rd World to the 1st World. We need a clean autocratic person rather that can clean up our country. I don't see the point of democracy if it means our country is strangled to death by all the thieves that keep coming to power but at the same time I hope the army never comes into power again as that brings it own corruption to our armed forces and weakens us further.
