Someone on PP wrote that it will take a miracle after a miracle to overhaul this target . .
We had one miracle yesterday . .

    We need another one today

120 runs with the last recognized pair in is a lot of runs to play with on a Day 5 pitch!

Both players need to play in same positive manner as yesterday and they both need to score big hubdreds to win us the game. We cant afford to lose a wicket early today. Need another 80-90 runs more put on by these two. We have a habit of starting sessions poorly, we csnt do that today.

Everything aside, WHEN on song, I dont think there's a better Test batsman than Shafiq in Pakistan. The sad thing is, this particular 'when' happens extremely rarely. Whenever it does though, there isn't a better guy to watch. Places pace, swing and bounce with ease and comfort like no other Pakistani batsman. Terrific technique. Wish he was half as consistent as Azhar.

I think, in D/N Tests, in Asia due to dew, wicket doesn't break much; or other way whatever it breaks, over night the surface compacts again. This is a far better wicket than 5th morning under such heat.

I was thinking the same thing last night. There is no sharp turn from this surface and even when there is s hint of it, it seems to vanish and looks a benign pitch once again .

Usually amir bats well under pressure. We have seen it time and again. But then again it just needs one good ball.

Shafiq needs to stay positive here. Amir, Wahab and Yasir are very decent partners. Still back Pakistan to win this

Need Shafiq to finish the job unlike Brisbane this time.

Amir, Yasir and Wahab need to chip in with 15-20 each not just look to survive.

I have to say, poor shot choice from Sarfraz, with so much on stake. What I can see is Dilruhan was getting lots of drift, rather than turn - with an old ball, probably only way he could have got Sarf was a top edge on sweep & they kept 3 for him for that shot - he obliged.

Shafiq has never been a finisher going back to 2011 WC semi-final, he gets set and then gets out.

With Sarfaraz gone its probably over.
