More rubbish 1st innings totals, this QEA season is turning into a write-off. How can you properly assess a player's abilities when playing on overused pitches that become minefields for batsmen ?

Is it really asking too much to prepare generally flat pitches BUT with decent carry and bounce that gradually when worn helps the spinners, and a quality ball that offers some movement for the seamers ? Is this beyond the wit of a nation of 220 million ?!

Yes, when the govt body is a cash cow for the well connected. Do you think that anyone in the PCB or any of its selectors watch any FC cricket?

It would be criminal if Sadaf is not selected in near future.. the guy did everything humanly possible in domestic inlast 7 years to deserve a national team call.. Tall, intelligent, can swing the ball both ways and bowl yorkers at will together with great stats.. what an unlucky guy!

sorry for late reply.. yar post miss ho gaye thii

Considering Amir, Hasan, Abbas are locked and after Wahab's impressive show in last test match it will be difficult.. Only one who he can replace is Mir Hamza but it will be unfair with Hamza too as he is a top first class performer and his style of bowling suits England conditions... But if someone gets injured than there should be no excuse of not selecting Sadaf and I think Inzi might give him a nod.

    Hussain Talat batting at 8.

This is where Inzi needs to put the foot down and force these domestic sides to give young players like Talat a proper chance in FC. Force them to play him in the middle order otherwise he isn't ever going to develop.

Forget the batting positions how on earth are batsman going to develop strokes on pitches like these? How are bowlers going to learn to take wickets when there isn't a grays ball in their hand on a pitch as lush as a cow field with inconsistent bounce?

all young players need to avoid the Sui Gas teams like the plague, nothing more than an entitled seniors club with some spots for the local MNA's relative

I think, wickets are indeed fresh therefore it's difficult to bat on. But, if wickets are made properly, by summer it should be good for batting. More than wicket, biggest concern now is the match duration - 70 X 4 overs isn't helping the wickets either to settle down properly. These same wickets can be very good & sporting (if built on hard base, with high % of clay content in top layer), if it's sun burnt.

This OCT-DEC FC Season is worst thing for cricket, it's actually counter productive.

I'm just mocking Haroon Rashid's preparation for this event who has been around for ages. This is just a repeat of past events.

Sethi has no idea how incompetent and lazy team he is working with.

If I am given an option between 2 CEOs - one corrupt, crook but competent; other one honest, good at heart but good for nothing - every time I'll take the 1st one.

He'll make $20 and steal $5; the good guy won't steal any money, but he won't make more than $10, on top of that he won't be able to catch other thieves....

NS is busy for bringing International cricket in PAK, which should be his first priority. After that, I am sure he'll focus in his mad house. Long back (probably 3+ years), in his early days, he gave a 10 point agenda for PAK cricket - probably the best I have read in years; 50% of that will solve most the issues.
