In my opinion lets start with a Indo-Pak Series it pulls in many active participants. Need to post it on the Cricket Forum to gather the newbies as well.

The Idea would be to gather 28 active members and do it as we have done previously.

14 Active members on each side, the most active one takes the captaincy while second as VC. Each team should have a mentor who has been involved with the league previously so the newbies can get a hold of the way the league functions.

    A 5-Match T20 Series would do for a start.

In the past @jeetu used to simulate matches , we need to see how it may work out this time around.

Ok sounds good but 28 people is pretty big number

Do we have any in mind?

Maybe you can mention their names here

In think tagging them would help.

I had noticed you had tagged quite a few people in the recent cricketweb fantasy that you organise for all Pakistan series.

Player types and skill levels are entered in a sim and then match commentary is generated. You can check out a sample match by clicking on the link given on post #18.

All you need to do is sledge the opposition.

And so the game draws to a tame conclusion with India claiming an impressive victory by 23 runs. A solid, if unspectacular performance there by India and they will no doubt want to build on the foundation laid today. The bowlers were probably licking their lips when they saw the pitch today - the pitch was very sporting, to say the least. Swing and spin benefited greatly throughout the day. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said India proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.

I think we can do with a squad of 13 each plus 2 international players per team.

So we'd be good to go once we complete 26 sign ups.

Essentially players are assigned batting/bowling skill by team captain. There are also factors like toss and pitch type.

A computer software simulates the match based on above data provided. I have simulated a random India-Pakistan to give you a general idea of the simulated match.

I would prefer to be a non playing to reduce accusation of bias.
You and @giri26 should make rules regarding features for these match. For examples how boost etc are to used.

A squad of 12 PPers and 1 Super Cricketer per team. This gives optimum game time for everyone. Won't prefer boosts as it had messed up the sim a couple of times.

    We can have the old contract system - 1 AA, 2 A, 4 B and 5 C contracts.

@giri26 @EngrOmair what do you reckon?

For boosts maybe we can try those old free ones, limited to two per game, or a single double boost.

Alternatively you can allocate points to both teams for buying boosts.

We can have a short 3 match series for all three formats for a start, and if it manages to gain enough interest, we can plan it bigger.

Those were all tried and tested idea , which have worked well in past. But if you remember last time SL_Fan was incharge of planning PSL and he came out with new take on it with reward system.
It would be more interesting if you can come up with something different yet not too complicated.
Lets brain storm it here and see we can (including anyone reading this post) come up with something fresh.

Activity based skill boosts would be a decent idea. For example, for every 15-20 posts in the match thread you get 1 skill point for the next game.

But then the post has to be game related and not spam in order to qualify and someone needs to monitor that.

Yeah that's why I suggested the old contract system where we don't have to worry about attributes like aggression, placement, strength, control, accuracy and many more things.

@EngrOmair @Smbhayi @giri26 @cricketjoshila @QalandarFan - any suggestions for the ground rules would be appreciated.

Another 3 signups and we should be good to go @jeetu. Not sure how many folks would like to be a part of team India though.

BTW @Moh@n I'd suggest a 14 players squad, 9 members and 5 Intl cricketers (only 2 in the xi). it'd help us to use different combination.

You don’t really need to do anything, basically a team of xi is chosen and then those xi are put into a simulator and then that sims the whole match. At the end we get a result, it is nuch appreciated if you can be active in the match threads and sledge the opponent but do not go to far with it and follow forum rules regarding behaviour.
