    Won't - in fact he would make Rambo Raza ATG had he played ODI in 80s/90s. ODI game has changed so much that it's not wise to compare stats from different era. You are comparing his 38/75 stats in 300+ era.
    Rambo at one point had stats like 35/70 in 100+ innings, when Allen Border had stats like 30/70. Gooch, Grineedge, Mazid, Haynes, Turner .... had SR like 60-65 for their career and I can tell you these guys would better Amla's stats as opener starting in 2000s. On contrary, Azhar would struggle to maintain 29/48 stats even in 80s, because he has absolutely no shot making ability, neither rotational skills, and he has only one gear - you can't tell watching him bat if he is on 10 or 100.
