Can't blame Faheem, was a makeshift opener at most. I have a feeling if he doesn't do well with the bowl, he might be dropped for the next match in favor of Yamin.

The team management has so far shown patience with newer players. That should continue.

Forget hindsight tells you how thick the management is really. Sarfraz did decent in the 2015 WC in Australia up the order so was worth a try here too especially now when the rest have failed.

People criticizing the Faheem move, its not a bad move at all. Its what we need. We cry all the time how we dont have two agressive openers...who would you rather open with Fakhar? We cant get sharjeel back, Shazad doesnt want to try being agressive, Imam and Azhar are useless.

Faheem is being wasted at 8

Faheem is being wasted at 8
I think it was brave and should be applauded. Important is not to bench him after this.

Its an age long issue, When you have the likes of Mohammad Yousuf adament that he will never change his number 4 position even though the openers were useless in all conditions, the precedent had been set by the seniors ages ago

Faheem move was a good move and should be persisted with. Unless we are willing to give proper upcoming opener a chance.

Opening with Fahim was a risky move, but such moves need to be taken if we are to move forward. Although I would like Yamin to be given a gig as an opener who is better equipped with drives and strokes. Fahim is more suited as a death over slogger. Seeing Fakhar bat today is heartening though.
Love the attuitude of the guy

Fakhar and Harris need to maintain this partnership - take it up to 40 overs.

However both have been very lucky

They're having a laugh at how they're still able to find a place to play in this modern era of the game where most countries boast of having 90+ SR players in the side.
