Get Munro and guptil out cheaply and Pak can win this. If one of them has a good day, they will make this chase look easy.

Good effort by the under fire skipper. Had Shoaib and Harris not got out to daft shots we would have reached 300. As it is I fancy NZ to win it rather easily now. Please get of Hafeez and Sarfaraz's backs now after two fine knocks.

Pakistan will need early wickets. If Munro and Guptill manage to have even a small partnership, they will win. Pakistan needs to go in with the goal to get New Zealand all out. Trying to contain them will not work because the score is still low.

    Will it rain today?

Short grounds, most of Paks boundaries at the start where mishits. Considering Pak lack power and New Zealand don't, then this should be an easy chase.

he was not outstanding. he played a run a ball innings. he was adequate. all his hits came right at the end of the innings, he usually scores his first 30 in 60 balls. That is not a batsman that allow to kill the momentum at top of the innings.

It’s just one inning. He was playing really slow earlier, last few overs made him look good. Hafeez should be batting at 6, Pakistan needs better players in the top order.

Hamilton - 16 January, 2018: "While trying to take a run Shoaib Malik was hit on his head with a wayward throw. Shoaib was assessed on field by match doctor and myself. He did not have any symptoms of a concussion and was able to carry on playing. After getting out he was reassessed and was showing delayed concussion signs. He is doing well and is resting" said Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, Vib Singh. As advised by match doctor and Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, he will not be taking any further part in this match.

Games against newzeland back in the day used to be very competitive where we used to get the better of them.

However over the last 3-4 years they have elevated themselves while we have become worse.

The gap between the two teams now is ridiculous

It's not selfish, bowling fuller length is not easy, it needs more strength and accuracy or else it's a full toss. I suspect Amir is not feeling very confident with himself which is why he cannot pitch it fuller.

But they are still leaking runs. And also you can't pick wickets with this length.

Pretty sure it gets better to chase here, the ground is really small that you can score a lot towards the end with wickets in hand.
