[PICTURES] Inzamam-ul-Haq should not be involved in any PSL team setup

Inzi is a chief selector and his primary job is to select players for Pakistan national team for which he gets paid. But if he is involved in any way to any PSL team setup then it is conflict of interest and questions will be asked about how honest he is in selecting players for Pakistan national team. Yet I saw this news item that Inzi is involved with Lahore Qalanders. Inzi should resign right away from Lahore Qalanders.

He should be allowed - not allowed rather forced to be part of every PSL team. That's the only way he can find some time to watch PAK players .... and talk with people who are involved in the changing cricket world.

Imandar admi - he shouldn't be forced to watch domestics or PAK International games.

I’m pretty sure both are professional enough in their roles to not be bias
Let’s atleast give them the opportunity to prove that they are not (Mickey has more or less)

Majority of Pakistan fans just need something to cry about all the time

It will be a conflict of interest if they are getting paid.. otherwise if they are just watching matches and interacting with players, they should do it with all the teams not just one of two. then yes, that is a good thing

If a few youngsters can benefit from Inzi tips it will be well worth it. No harm in it. We need to support our PSL and all ex legends must get involved in it.

There are many legends like Akram, Younis etc involved in it. The point made was this is a conflict of interest.

I dont have a problem with Mickey Arthur involved in PSL. Remember for the national team, he is a coach i.e. his job is to coach players in the national team.

Inzi on the other hand is the chief selector for the national team i.e. his job is to pick players for the national team. Thats a huge conflict of interest.

I wouldn’t mind if both of them focussed their attention on all 6 teams. However if they focus on just one team it could create a conflict of interest.

I think you still don't understand the meaning of conflict of interest. He is the coach of just one team and not all the teams and given the extra interaction he could favor a certain player from his PSL team ahead of other players he hasn't "coached"

Don't think it's a big deal. Perhaps he might enjoy it and consider a position as a batting coach instead of a selector. After all he was one of the best batsman we ever had.

Then he should have taken the national batting coach job which Flower currently uses for the sole reason of earning a paycheck. If he is either a batting coach or selector and represents a team in the PSL then it is a conflict of interest. If he was the batting coach of all the PSL teams then it would have been OK. However if he chooses just one team than there is every chance he would be biased towards some players.

The PSL is a jobs for the boys club.

Basically anyone who is well in with the PCB is given a role with one of the franchises - mentors, coaches, etc. Next we will have former players given jobs as fashion managers for franchises.

Lets look at the positives, the PSL is the only way so many of our ex legends will in some way get involved with domestic players. Money attracts quality.

Arthur hasn't done that though. Otherwise the likes of Sohail Khan or Usama Mir would have been playing over other players. Infact, he dropped Sohail Khan right after PSL when he was playing for Pakistan consistently before the event.

That still isn't the point. Just because he didn't favor certain players before does not mean he will not favor others in the future. No matter how much a "professional" Sadiq and Amin person he claims himself to be.

People are just over thinking this. He's Mickey Arthur selected a full 11 of Karachi players for Pakistan? No he hasn't.

They don't watch domestic cricket so it's good that they get to see the talent up close and personal.

Better for him to be on the ground and assess players there rather than just watch videos of these players months later. It will be alot easier to unearth talent that way. Both are professionals so i dont see what the problem is.

Nothing "garbage" about his nephew. He impressed in his very first ODI and should be kept in the squad. He hasn't been given too many chances yet.

You can't compare the two, one is a selector and the other one, a coach. And looking at Inzi's biased nature...

Selector selects players in a team.
Coach coaches players in a team. Coaches dont select players in a team.
    Hope it is clear now.

You can also look at thw good side. The coach and CS will see new talent playing. I am sure youngsters performing will get noticed.

Biggest examples are shadab and hasan. They didnt play for KK.

Based on merit cause they performed they got picked for PAK.

If they aren't allowed to be involved in PSL, they will start to bicker about how PSL is damaging Pakistan's players fitness and concentration and destroying their game and there is so much fatigue and............ so on.
Even Waqar Younis complained after the first season how it was like a party for players and now he is the bowling coach and director for a franchise. In Pakistan Cricket, if you are involved, everything is alright, if not, then everything is evil.
