'Won't work under leadership of children,' says Ch. Nisar on conflict with Maryam Nawaz
Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Saturday that there is no difference of opinion among PML-N party leaders that confrontation with the higher judiciary of the country is not a wise idea.
While addressing a press conference in Taxila, Nisar said that the difference exists within the party on the "execution" of the policy, adding: "This difference [about confrontation with the judges] has grown deeper and serious. I want to solve it through dialogue."
The senior PML-N leader stressed he was not alone in advocating a policy free of clash with the judiciary, saying that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif propagate the same.
Nisar said that it is common knowledge that he has been a "devil's advocate" to his party chief Nawaz Sharif and the advice that he presented at a meeting of the federal cabinet last year is also well known.
"When you launch personal attacks on judges it is wrong and I pointed that out," Nisar said. He said he hadn't criticised Sharif or his outspoken daughter Maryam Nawaz over their criticism of the judiciary, before asking, "Am I being a hypocrite?"
Nisar said only the upcoming general elections will decide who becomes the prime minister of the country.
When questioned about his previous remark that Maryam lacked the experience to lead PML-N, Nisar in turn asked whether he had said anything wrong at the time.
"You tell me, can I work under a child?" he said in a reference to Maryam, adding that "a person has some dignity."
When pressed again whether he would accept Maryam as the party's new supremo, Nisar said there were many senior leaders in PML-N who could be considered to lead the party.
"Why are you stuck with Maryam and Hamza [Shahbaz Sharif]?" he asked a reporter, before saying,"I can work under a senior but I cannot work under a junior. I am not a political orphan that I refer to a junior as 'sir' and 'madam'."
Irked by the barrage of questions about Maryam, Nisar said in a lighter vein: "Next time there is a presser here, please post a board above saying that it is forbidden to take Maryam Nawaz's name in this [press conference]."
Nisar announced during the presser that he will remain active within the party.

LOL.I absolutely hate PML-N and Nooras, but Maryam Nawaz isn't a child. She is portrayed as being young but in reality she is in her mid 40's.Her children are married too!
Excellence should not be an act,it should be a habit.

Ch Nisar is a big drama queen and a bigger darbari. He has made similar threats in the past so no need to take him seriously.

Ch Nisar is such a loser, he hung around hoping for crumbs of the Kings table but even they have disappeared. If he left a few years ago he could chosen any party to join or even setup his own party. He has a big following in Pothwar and would picked a few seats and other places split the Noora vote.

He is right... this guy has been doing a political struggle for 30-40 years and a brainless child supersedes him just because she has Sharif in her name and has no other achievements in her life, but certain jahils on PP think that this is democracy.

This type of attitude would be acceptable if he was a competent person or had some achievements under his belt. He deserves this kind of “leadership”.

Imran advises Nisar to join PTI
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has advised Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the estranged leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), to join his party before the next general elections.
“It will be good if Chaudhry Nisar joins the PTI,” Mr Khan said during a chat with reporters at his Banigala residence on Sunday, a day after the PML-N leader admitted he had some differences with PML-N chief and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and also categorically declared that he would not work under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz or Hamza Shahbaz.
“And if Chaudhry Nisar decides to contest the elections as an independent candidate, we may support him,” the PTI chief said when his comments were sought on the former interior minister’s recent press conference.
Talking to reporters in Taxila on Saturday, Chaudhry Nisar had stated that he was waiting for the party’s decision about him and after that he would announce his future plans.
This is not for the first time Imran Khan expressed his desire to see the PML-N stalwart in his party as previously during his 120-day sit-in in Islamabad in 2014, he had also stated that Chaudhry Nisar would be welcomed to the PTI.
Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar had been sidelined by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif due to his opposition to the party’s policy of confronting the judiciary and the army during the hearing of the Panama Papers case first before a joint investigation team and then the Supreme Court.
The anti-Nisar group within the PML-N believes that he has sympathetic feelings for his old friend Imran Khan and in their private conversations, they allege that as interior minister he had facilitated the PTI by allowing it to enter Red Zone and stage a sit-in. They also criticise Chaudhry Nisar’s role as the interior minister at the time of the formation of the JIT under a senior FIA official that probed the Sharif family members on charges of money laundering in the wake of Panama Papers leaks.
Despite having differences with the party leadership, Chaudhry Nisar on the other hand has many a time stated that he has no intention to quit the party or to join any other party.
Imran Khan claimed that soon after the installation of the caretaker government, a number of PML-N members would quit the party. He said that it seemed that the elections would be held on time.
The cricketer-turned-politician alleged that it was Intelligence Bureau (IB) headed by a “personal servant” of the Sharifs which leaked information about his private life.
In reply to a question, the PTI chief said that his party had an alliance with Maulana Samiul Haq and if the party would have some “additional votes” in the Senate elections, these votes could be polled to him.
Mr Khan accused both the PPP and the PML-N of spending money to get the office of the chairman of the Senate. He said his party had reservations over the role of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
He also criticised Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and declared him a security risk for the country.

what did Nisar expect?
That just because he is loyal and has respect, the Sharif clan will think him to be worthy enough to be one of their own?
