Btw, not fair to label Afghanistan as minnows. They made the top 10 WC fair and square, and at one stage probably had only a 1% chance of qualifying. They may not be a favorite to win, but the way the Qualification system is, every team richly deserves to be here.

One could even say that teams like Scotland deserved to be here, but cruelly missed out.
Afghanistan and West Indies will get smashed at the WC.

Its not low standards. We didn't win the CT for no reason. We have world class players accept the reality.
Dragging CT win in every debate and argument is best way of defence now a days..WORLD CLASS that's a big tag mate..u need to perform at the highest level against Worlds top team consistently...and i never said they are low standard..the players which you have mentioned are good players and great prospect..but labelling every one World class and chest Thumping is hilarious.and I forgot to add Congrats on CT Win..

Bit of a punt, but I predict that Shadab will have a better WC with the bat than with the ball.

Best Batsman : Joe Root. At home and finally converts those 50s to 100s.
Best Bowler : Hasan. Best ODI bowler currently and will pick buckets of wickets albeit at a high economy.
SF : England, India, NZ, AUS
England to lose in the final to either India or Australia.

Dhoni already proving that he'll lose the matches.

We are stuck now, neither can we go for any youngster,as the time is very less to groom him for the WC, nor can we play Dhoni and take a hit.

Another option is, Karthik, but I am not certain whether he can deliver at the biggest stage. May be, he would.

Nice thread. Here are some of my opinions based on 10 months more of data:

    2.Chahal vs Shadab vs Rashid
3.Faheem vs Pandya Pandya will fire in a few games and be a dud in others, but Faheem may not even make it to the team.
    4.Sarfraz vs Mushfiqur
    5.Smith vs Williamson vs Root

    Individual players

1.Kohli a choker Not anymore in England!
    2.Bhubneshwar has improved Yes
3.Fakhar a hack Getting exposed regularly now
4.Tamim the 2nd best Asian opener
5.Babar the 2nd best Asian batsman At least one of Rohit, Dhawan or Dhoni besides Kohli will do better than him
6.Dhoni will not lose games for his team I hope not!
7.Amir brings his A game when the stakes are high Yes, he is the biggest threat when they play India
8.Rohit, Amir's bunny Hammered him in the Asia Cup, but English conditions may be more to Amir's liking
    9.Williamson in Fab 4
    10. Babar scores only against WI and SL I expect him to do well against most teams. He will even improve his current 27.5 avg @ SR 73 against India is ODIs

    Country comparison:

    1.India vs Pakistan bowling attack
2.Bangladesh / Pakistan the 2nd best Asian side
3.Pakistan are strong enough to beat India (without a FLUKE)

    Country:

1.Pakistan has improved in LOIs unpredictable team, but probably won't do well
2.BAN has improved in LOIs reaching SF would be a very big achievement
    3.Afghanistan has improved yes
4.England have the best batting line up no, India does

I am not being biased here. I just wrote what I can remember. You can also add further Comparisons if u wish.

    Note:
    1.Please don't quarrel.
    2.Give ur opinion
    3.Debate.
4.If the opposite person disagrees, then agree to disagree.
