I support Man Utd, so will only care about who they sign but won't be blinded if other teams manage to get coups. Will only post stuff that are from credible sources too - none of this caughtoffside rubbish

    First signing looks imminent:

Toby looks to be next for Man Utd - and Darmian gonna leave (thank god). If Toby comes in, then surely a CB must go - so who's that gonna be? Smalling imo

Looks like Martial will be heading to Spurs, gutted as he is much better than Rashford but we have to keep the English one.

I’d rather keep Martial but yep, he’s probably going since he deleted all posts on his insta. Dunno if it’s to Spurs though.

Post match interview showed that he isn't happy with his current situation at Real Madrid.

Mourhino tried to sign him last year, even though now United have Sanchez but I feel they would still go for a superstar like Bale. He is a clutch player, can make a huge difference in the team.

I'd give an arm and a leg for Bale but I don't see it happening unless RM gets Neymar. Even then, Bale legit just wants first team football and he'll get that next season

Fabinho to Liverpool gaining a lot of traction in last 1 hour. Now being reported by Sky. Apparently deal for 43 million GBP been agreed. Steal at that price. Very good holding mid.

We needed a holding midfielder with Can set to leave. Add Kieta and possibly Fekir as well and we are already looking good for next season. Need a new goalie and forward as well. Pulsic would be a great buy.

Real would want at least £200 million for Bale which in my opinion is even beyond Man Utd. Another problem would be Bale fitting in to Mourinho's boring system. They'd probably play him as a defender!! Other then that Man City are probably the only ones who would be interested in him and can afford him. Could be that Man Utd sell a Pogba or Martial to make signing Bale more affordable.

    Terrific signing.

It's a win-win for both - Fabinho missed Russia only because of playing in France & for Monaco, while for that money, it's a day light robbery. At 24, best 6-7 years is just awaiting for him and the way Klopp has improved young potentials into world class players, it's only a matter of one or even half a season, for a player with such technical qualities and physical attributes. Only looser in this deal is Sir Henderson - 38 caps for ENG including some against San Marino, Macedonia, Slovenia, Malta, Lithuania ...... and ZERO goal for a Box to Box midfielder; and he is our Captain .

2 down (With Kieta), 3 to go - Oblak/Allison/D'roumma, Fekir & Plusic/Lemar/Dembele - that'll make sure that only English player starting is TAA, and most of them won't be on bench. Probably, a CB like Kulibaly in next window, but Lovren actually has improved lot and he'll be 29 by start of next season, middle age of best 5-6 years for a CB. However, won't mind if we can get back Luis from Barca cheap (say ~$75mn & <$250K/week ). We'll need 8 for home grown clause - Robertson, Ward, TAA, Ox & Gomez are there; need the 4th GK and 5th & 6th CB - rest can leave.

BUT, we must have to keep 5 players that any other top 5 will be interested - VVD, Robo, Mo, Bobby & Sad. No point trying the same every season, need to target 89-91 points.

    Dream Match Day 18 (4-2-3-1)

    1. Oblak
    2. TAA, 4. VVD, 5. Kulibaly, 3. Robbo
    6. Fabinho, 8. Kieta
    7. Mo, 10. Nab, 11. Sad
    9. Bobby
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Karius (Kid isn't that bad for bench, he'll get over it),
    Lovren, Joe Gomez,
    Alex Ox, Grujic,
    Plusic/Lemar/Dembele, Suarez

That's what you call a SOLID squad.

Looks like Man Utd will get Dalot from Porto - highly rated RB who can actually cross a ball (woohoo!) for £17m

Mahrez to Man City for £60m. Seems steep. Wouldn’t pay more than 40 for him

Liverpool got Fabinho, Kieta, probably looking to get Fekir too. Hopefully not Allison though

Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern. 29 years old, in his prime. Chelsea? Man City? Real? Who knows

Not really sure about Fabinho, Jose knows his holding players and passed on him last summer.

Dalot also looks like one for the future, dont expect Jose will be starting a 19 year old especially in defence, will probably loan him out for now.

Really hope we get Bale now and another CM.

With Dalot, Fred and Aldweireld soon to be announce in a couple of weeks. Its only a matter of time for United make some movements for Alex Sandro. Its important Mourinho gets some weight of the wage bill leading with Darmian (who is close to joining Juventus), Blind, Jones, Smalling and maybe Mata. Potentially Andreas Pereira and Ander Herrera could also be heading for the exit.

According to reports Lyon are playing hardball over the transfer of Fekir to Liverpool. They want to start a bidding war with Bayern and Real also said to be interested. No way is Allison worth the £80 million Roma want for goodness sake when Liverpool put seven past him in two leg's of the CL semi recently It would be awesome if we could bring Pulisic as well. Monaco must be kicking themselves after rejecting two big bids from L'pool and Arsenal for Lemar some months back. Don't think he has any takers now

Arsenal and Spurs seem to be a bit quiet at the moment. Mauricio Pochettino is being lined up as being Real's next manager after Zizou quit some days back. Klopp was also linked yet I remain confident he will continue his Anfield project.

Marina is too much of a scumbag to even pay £4-8m for Sarri at Napoli, I dread to think about our negotiation tactics this window. I'm expecting very poor transfer dealings or not very many at all, can see us selling Willian, Morata, Michy and Pedro to TRY to fund deals for players such as Lewandowski, Bailey, Martial and Seri, but even then Marina is not willing to pay buy out clauses.

Looking like we'll be signing Jardim or Blanc as manager which isn't the worst case scenario, but it is disappointing after being led to believe that Sarri is coming for a while.

Nabil Fekir: Liverpool close to deal for Lyon and France attacker

Liverpool are close to agreeing a deal for France forward Nabil Fekir.

Talks between the clubs could conclude on Friday about a deal that may amount to 60m euros (£52.75m) - 55m (£48.35m) plus a maximum of 5m (£4.4m) add-ons.

The 24-year-old Lyon captain has been one of Reds manager Jurgen Klopp's prime summer transfer targets and has his heart set on a move to Anfield.

Fekir is due to fly to Russia with France's World Cup squad after their game against the USA on Saturday.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has a reputation for being a tough negotiator, and Friday is emerging as a key day in talks as Liverpool move to get the deal completed before the weekend.

Fekir's proposed arrival would be the latest ambitious statement from the Champions League finalists after the £39m signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco, and with Naby Keita arriving from RB Leipzig in July in a deal worth £52.75m.

The Reds are also considering whether to active the £12m release clause in Xherdan Shaqiri's contract as he is poised to leave Stoke City following their relegation to the Championship.

    OR NOT!

France forward Nabil Fekir will not be joining Liverpool and will instead be staying at Lyon, the French Ligue 1 club have announced.

The two clubs had been discussing a deal for the playmaker worth 60m euros (£52.75m) - 55m (£48.35m) plus a maximum of 5m (£4.4m) add-ons.

However, Lyon said on Saturday that talks about the potential transfer of their captain "had not succeeded".

Fekir, 24, had been one of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp's prime summer targets.

"Although Liverpool has been the priority of a possible transfer of Nabil... Olympique Lyonnais is delighted to be able to count on the presence of their captain in 2018-2019," Lyon said in a statement.

Fekir is due to fly to Russia with France's World Cup squad after their game against the USA on Saturday.

He came through Lyon's youth system and has made 153 appearances for the club, scoring 57 goals, having made his debut in 2013.

Apparently Liverpool wanted to reduce the transfer fee for Fekri after concerns over his previous knee injury. Lyon wanting none of that plainly refused perhaps hoping Liverpool would revert to agreeeing on the original terms or someone else would come in. Liverpool have taken a risk here, if Fekri does well at the WC his price would soar, others would then become interested in him as well. I can see where both clubs are coming from here. It is how the offer of buying a home will depend on the survey. If a fault is found the perspective buyer reserves the right to make a reduced offer where as the seller can refuse as well. As Fekri's knee has not been giving him any recent problems I feel we should have signed him then again Liverpool do tend to over complicate things. Some reports say that discussions over Fekri who still has his heart set on a move to Anfield will continue after France involvement in the WC is over.

Watford have confirmed the signing of winger Gerard Deulofeu on a five-year deal from Barcelona.

The Spanish champions say they have agreed a fee of £11.5m for the 24-year-old, plus £3.5m in add-ons.

Deulofeu, who has won four caps for Spain, spent the second half of last season on loan at Watford, scoring once in seven Premier League appearances.

The ex-Barcelona youth player has previously had two spells in the Premier League with Everton.

He spent the 2013-14 campaign on loan at Goodison Park and returned on a permanent basis in 2015 after an unsuccessful spell at Sevilla.

Following 18 months with the Toffees, Deulofeu finished the 2016-17 season on loan with AC Milan, then went back to Barcelona last summer when the Catalans activated a buy-back clause.

The deal with Barcelona also includes a sell-on clause, according to the Spanish club.

"We are very pleased to welcome Gerard back," said Watford chairman Scott Duxbury. "Our ambition to succeed and grow in the Premier League remains as strong as ever."

Deulofeu's most recent international appearance came in Spain's World Cup qualifier against Liechtenstein in September.

@MMHS about to sign 1 of the best young DMs in the world who turned down Napoli and Dortmund who are in the champions league , a top class goal keeper who turned down Napoli and an experienced CB from a champions league team.

Your club couldn't even sign Fekir when he had taken his pics and done his interview.

    Arsenal still finished?

Fekir was a different issue - work load of Ligue 1 and Klopp's Gaggenpress is different, hence it was a sensible call. It's not only about money, but you can't build a squad where your No. 10 starts to limp after 3/4 games into the season. Having said that, I have never had much expectation from FSG - truth is, in last 4 years LFC is the lowest net spender (net net 18mn BP), among every club that had been in EPL for 3 of the last 5 seasons.

I don't think I had ever said Arsenal are finished - a Club having a 65K stadium in North London with one of top 10 revenue source in soccer world can't be finished; Arsenal will be a decent top half club simply because of the academy & financial capacity that Wenger built over 2 decades. I think, Arsenal has to make the CL qualification first for you to be bluish - singing a 34 years old Swiss defender on free transfer hardly encourages much enthusiasm. You should read it other way - Juve could have extended his contract at lower wage, but they let him go.

Signing U21 players & "experienced" oldies on free, is quite indicative indeed for a squad under new Manager, who needs at least 4/5 starters for his XI. I am actually surprised to know that in current football economics, you think it's an achievement that couple of youngsters decided to come to one of top 6 EPL clubs with a match day gate of 4.5mn+ ( and the highest unit ticket price in soccer world), instead of mighty Napoli or Dortmund. I guess Josh Kroenke has been quite successfully selling you his enthusiasm for their Soccer asset.

Arsenal was my 2nd team in EPL always, for their style, for the French connections and off course for Wengar, one of very few true Club manager with right mindset - let Unai & Arsenal fans keep it that way.

Yes when you don't get the player it becomes a smart decision yet a week ago you had him in a line up for next year.

You did say Arsenal are finished. I have the message saved LOL.

Ahahahaua I didn't even mention the Linchistner signing as a reason as to why I was positive. You just bought that in yourself. He'll just be a back up player ,I have no issues with that .

Torreria isn't u21. He's 22 and he's very highly rated by people who watch seria a regulary. Look at his stats they are very impressive and you'll see in the premier league.

Love how you comepltley ignore the Leno signing. Better than your rubbish keeper Karius and Mingolet .

Why shouldn't I be happy with signing one of the best young DMs in the world ? You follow football religiously so you should know how good he is. Has nothing to do with Kronke tricking me.

I am not sure which post you are referring - however, Arsenal is indeed finished as a top team in EPL, at least for a decade. We'll be sticking to EPL and let's see - for the sake of EPL, I hope they do better than MCity & Chelsea and make the first cut - that's top 4 finish.

I am not sure if apart from Lichistner, any other player has joined Arsenal yet - if you are talking about rumors, then yes, even Lemar is joining, latest is Goetze. As of today, I don't see any other name (s) apart from Lichistner joining and Cazorla, Mertsacker being released.

Regarding DM/CMs from Seria A, I actually take it with a caution - the pace of the game is different in 2 leagues, therefore hardly any Midfielder from Italy had been successful in EPL. But if the kid joins, indeed I'll give him a chance, potential isn't bad for a 5'6" DM in EPL. Normally, more physical and speedy mid fielders and defenders are for EPL, while Seria A is extremely tactical, but slow in pace, great for Latinos there for their technical skills - even Veron couldn't succeed in EPL, while Aqalini, Darmin, Dossena were pure flop. Hope Torreria, does better than usual, one of the best young DMS indeed, for his 3 minutes for Uruguay in latest game this morning - that's if he is coming to Arsenal.

Leno, if it happens, indeed a good signing. But, remember, he didn't make it to German squad as 3rd GK (his last appearance in German squad was last year in C'tion Cup, as back-up, when Nauer wasn't picked). He is replacing Cech, one of the best ever in EPL, who was at 150K+/week, even at 35. I think, I have said it countless time that for a Club with annual 450mn gross revenue, it's a shame that our No. 1 is someone who was available at 4.5mn in this market & no one contested for his signature - hence the Yanks faced the nemesis exactly in the game where it hurts.

I do follow Soccer religiously, and this is 3rd time you reminded me that - next time, I hope you'll come with better insights than one liner before reminding me again.

Torreria is a done deal just waiting for confirmation. It's been confirmed by a lot of reliable sources . Liverpool have only signed Fabinho. Still have a Karius and Mingolet lol. Yet you was predicting you'll be challenging next year.

Kante ie 5 "6, he didn't to to bad. You have named a few flops from seria a , How convinent that you don't name any successful players from seria a LOL? He didn't start for Uraguay, how does that not make him good enough, ? Same with Leno. Fekir didn't start for France . Coman,Sane,Martial, and Icardi didn't even get into their national team squads. Do you think they aren't good enough as well ? Also your new signing Fabinho wasn't selected in the Brazil squad. Renato Augusto was selected ahead of him .

Cech has been rubbish for Arsenal especially last year. Leno will be an improvement. He would have been number 3 for Germany anyway. How many keepers in the world would start ahead of Manual and Ter Stegan?

I think, if Yanks don't sell Mo on the last day, it's already a fantastic squad. Remember, just one VVD improved the defense considerably, even after Coutinho left. Kante indeed is short, but he is solid, stockily built DM, who was groomed as a specialist game breaker in French system. But Maschareno is also short and fantastic DM (even CB), so Torreria can be successful. I actually can't recall any Seria A player being successful in EPL - De Canio, may be Casaraghi for some times. Recently hardly anyone.

Coming to Fabinho, I think one reason he wasn't picked is that he played for Monaco. Also, they were playing him as DM, not Right Back - Brazil scouts did come to see him once Alves got injured, and they found him playing as DM!!!!! Brazil is so rich in wing back position that even Alex Sandro didn't make it, and he was arguably best left back in CL last year. Renato Augusto is explainable actually - before leaving for China, he actually played exactly at the same role under Tite at Corinthians. Y

Do you think I rate players on who is selected in squad & who isn't? Leno is good, but he is not German No. 3 actually - he could have been as good as anyone, still missing out to Nauer or Ter Stagen; but here he missed out to Trapp, which is a bit concerning. I am absolutely not happy with our transfer business - after selling Coutinho, Yanks are trying to steal money again, just like Suarez & Sterling money - bought Kieta last year, for this year, but pretending to spend 50mn in both year!!!!!!!! But, if we can add couple more players & a GK, better than Butland or McCarthy; we should be challenging MCity.

Torreria size is irrelevant. He's very good at breaking up play and distributing the ball.

Lol he's been playing in midfield for 2 seasons. Brazil would have know that.

Why use it as an example if that's not how you rate players ? We know Leno is better than Trapp anyway so it's not that a big a deal.

You won't get a top GK. Butland or McCarthy will probably your starting keeper.

    Arsenal signs Bernd Leno

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Bernd Leno for an initial €22m (£19.2m) from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 26-year-old, who was part of the Germany squad which won the Confederations Cup last year but was not selected for the World Cup, is expected to sign a five-year deal at the Emirates after he was identified as the long-term successor to Petr Cech. Leno was an integral part of the Leverkusen side which finished fifth in the Bundesliga last season, having begun his career at Stuttgart and it is understood that Arsenal could pay up to another £3m in bonuses as part of the deal.

His impending arrival potentially casts doubt over the future of Cech, who has only one year remaining on the contract he signed when he moved from Chelsea in 2015.

Arsenal are also closing in on the signing of Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira of Sampdoria for £25m and Greece defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund for around £16m as Unai Emery continues his rebuilding job. Switzerland full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner joined on a free transfer from Juventus earlier this month.

We also have cracked our best deal of the summer. Nabil was actually a smokescreen for Shakhiri, who himself was the 2nd screen for our ultimate target - Rhian Brewster.

I am now waiting from Klopp to explain why Rhian is the better deal than 140K/week Nabil or 100K/week Shakiri. I wish had the transfer window was closed today - yanks won't be able to in-cash Mo or Mane.

Leno is a good signing, though they have Ospina & Cech; but I think both will be allowed to leave, Matt Macey might return to seat on bench.

With Alderwiereld taking too long specially with Daniel Levy in charge Manchester United have been linked with a ton of CB's. From Boateng to Bonucci, to Lenglet to Maguire its seems like this will be quite a long summer transfer window. It seems to be the same situation with Left Back, as like every window we are again linked with a million players and that's including all types of players. For LB its been Sandro, Phillip Max, Jordi Alba and today Jose Gaya. Alderwiereld Sandro seem to be Jose's first choice despite there transfer fee's, but looking at the stats Lenglet isn't a bad choice at CB specially with a £22.5M release clause. With the defence now done, seems like CM is still a position that needs filling and Rakitic isn't a bad option specially with Mourinho having some interest in the player add to this Rakitic's resistences to sitting on the bench next season. CB, LB and CM brought would round off for me good incomings but I feel we can strengthen in more positions.

Arsenal have announced the signing of Greece international defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old becomes the third new arrival at the Emirates Stadium since Unai Emery was appointed as Arsene Wenger's replacement in May and has signed a "long-term" deal at the club.

He joins full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner and goalkeeper Bernd Leno in joining the Gunners ahead of the new season and will link up with former Dortmund team-mates Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"Greek international Sokratis Papastathopoulos has joined us on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee," a statement on Arsenal's website read.

"The 30-year-old arrives from Borussia Dortmund, where he won two Bundesliga titles and one German Cup. The hugely-experienced defender lists Werder Bremen, AC Milan, Genoa and AEK Athens among his previous clubs.

"Sokratis, who will wear the number five shirt for us, also has vast experience on the international stage, making 79 appearances for Greece. This deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes."

Papastathopoulos previously played for Genoa, AC Milan and Werder Bremen having broken through at AEK Athens.

He will battle with the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Calum Chambers and compatriot Konstantinos Mavropanos for a place in the heart of Emery's defence.

"I feel very good, everything is special," Papastathopoulos told Arsenal Player.

"It is a beautiful moment and I am very happy for the next years, that I will be here. Arsenal is one of the three biggest teams in the Premier League.

"I'm a normal defender, I like to defend. I like that my team doesn't take goals. I like a zero in the defence and I will do everything to help to achieve this goal."

Look like its happening now, Ronaldo feels betrayed by RM and seems to have made up his mind to leave, plus he will get to a win a trophy he hasnt won before he ends his career having won everything in England and Spain.

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has joined West Ham on a three-year deal and says he has moved to the club he supported as a boy.

The 26-year-old England player's contract with the Gunners expired at the end of June.

"I've got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park," he said.

"It feels good and of course my family and a few of my friends are West Ham fans so everyone's buzzing."

The Hammers are also closing in on the signing of Ukraine forward Andriy Yarmolenko.

A fee of about 20m euros (£17.66m) is understood to have been agreed with Borussia Dortmund.

West Ham have signed Jack Wilshere.

Chelsea news is that Sarri is still favourite to become the next Chelsea manager and that we have a list of club targets, those being:

    Jorginho
    Seri
    Martial
    Golovin

Unfortunately, despite this sounding promising, all we've announced is a partnership with Vitality for health insurance.

Manchester City poised to sign Riyad Mahrez for club-record £60m

Manchester City are optimistic Riyad Mahrez will be unveiled as their £60m record signing by Friday, after they made a breakthrough with Leicester City.

The proposed transfer had stalled because Leicester wanted the City winger Patrick Roberts as part of the deal but it is thought that demand has been dropped. Mahrez had been holding out for a sizeable sum he believed Leicester owed him, and this may now have been resolved.

Pep Guardiola turned to the Algerian in the January transfer window when his first choice, Alexis Sánchez, opted to sign for Manchester United. A move failed to materialise after Leicester demanded around £95m. No formal offer was made then.

The total value of the current deal is expected to rise to around £75m, its basic £60m fee eclipsing City’s record £57.2m paid to Athletic Bilbao for defender Aymeric Laporte in January.

Joe Hart, the former England and City No 1, participated in Monday’s opening day of training with his future in limbo. The 31-year-old will almost certainly depart after being loaned out by Guardiola for the past two seasons.

Angus Gunn, the No 3 goalkeeper, is set to join Southampton.

We have got our replacement for Coutinho bro - only for 25K/week and without any transfer fee : Rihan Brewster, the next big thing in soccer (for one season, until he is sold to Championship - hope I am proven wrong). Also, Yanks have sealed another gem - the new George Best from Wales, again for 35K/week : Harry Wilson.

Trust me, I am desperately, desperately hoping that Transfer window closes on Sunday, so that Yanks don't get the time to cash in Mo or Mane. CR has left Real, which mans they have money to spend and lots of spare wage cap - and I am getting nervous; don't know what explanation Klopp is preparing, just in case.

On a side note - I am expecting that Karius will be our No. 1 GK come August, he is on 45K/week, when DDG & Courtois are around 200K and Lloris at 140K. Yanks had their PR mileage from Buffon, Allisson, Donnarumma & Oblak - now it's time for action, and already I am reading lots of kokation story in :iverpool's pet media; they'll sell Mignolet as well.

Klopp has enough in the squad for a 4th spot finish and trust me, that's the only target for which Liverpool exists, otherwise these Yanks would have sold every inch of Anfield for profit. And, to keep wage expense in limit, they are forcing Klopp to trim his squad - which means, no Cup either; by January, you'll see Klopp using Academy kids in Domestic cups, to keep his bikini thing squad healthy for 4th spot finish.

Arsenal: Lucas Torreira agrees deal & Matteo Guendouzi set for medical

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Uruguay international midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria for £26m.

The 22-year-old, who played in all five of his country's World Cup matches before the quarter-final defeat to France, will wear the number 11 shirt.

Manager Unai Emery said: "In Lucas Torreira we have signed a young player who is a very bright talent in the game. A midfielder with great quality."

Torreira will join on a five-year deal in August after a post-World Cup break.

His move is still subject to "regulatory processes" but he is set to become Emery's fourth signing since succeeding Arsene Wenger as manager.

"He is a young player already with good experience, but who wants to keep on growing," added Emery.

Former Valencia and Paris St-Germain boss Emery has also brought in goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen, defender Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus and defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund.

France under-20 international Matteo Guendouzi, 19, is also undergoing a medical with the club and is expected to sign from Lorient.

Torreira, who plays as a defensive midfielder, broke into Italian club Pescara's first team in 2014-15 and then played for the club on loan after signing for Sampdoria in July of 2015.

He eventually made his Serie A debut for Sampdoria in August 2016 and made 71 appearances across two seasons.

It's not quiet - juve have bought cam, cancelo, a Italian goalie, bought officially - Ronaldo. Buffon left juve,. Juve got one of the centre backs from Atlanta, he was pure owned on loan.

Juve could be getting darmian - from Utd, we could sell sandro to city/ man Utd - and rugani could be on the way to Chelsea for 40m euros.

Brewster is a forward with potential like Harry Wilson but I see neither as first team regulars yet. Shakiri is set to come in then the Fakir transfer is still possible as well. No big player is leaving so you can relax. The Yanks are not as bad as you make them out to be.

Karius has lost all his confidence and is at it again. He appears to be totally drained, his facial expression is that of someone who wants out. I would live to see a goalie bought in but not just for the sake off it. He has to be better then anything we currently have otherwise it is just a waste of time. If we have the money then should spend it on a classy keeper, goalie has been a big problem position for us.

Your obsession of blaming the owners for everything does no one any good. If Klopp refuses to buy then that is his call. Other teams are not spending much more then us at the moment moreover it was not the owners who called of the Fekir deal.

Xherdan Shaqiri is set to undergo a medical ahead of completing his £13.5million transfer to Liverpool.

The Reds have a deal in place with Stoke City after triggering his release clause and barring any late hitches the Swiss winger will become Jurgen Klopp's third signing of the summer.

Shaqiri has had offers from across Europe following Stoke's relegation to the Championship but once Liverpool firmed up their interest his heart was set on moving to Anfield.

The 26-year-old, whose involvement in the World Cup was ended at the last 16 stage by Sweden last week, is likely to make his Reds debut during the pre-season tour of America later this month.

Jurgen Klopp believes securing the services of such an experienced attacker will help add real depth to the squad.

Xherdan Shaqiri completes his £13m move to Liverpool

Xherdan Shaqiri has been confirmed as Liverpool’s third summer signing, having interrupted a holiday to finalise his move to Anfield.

Liverpool agreed a £13m fee with Stoke City for the Switzerland international this week and, with personal terms also agreed, the 26-year-old cut short a post-World Cup holiday to undergo a medical on Merseyside on Friday. The former Bayern Munich and Internazionale winger follows Naby Keita and Fabinho in strengthening Jürgen Klopp’s squad this summer. He has signed a “long-term” deal at Anfield.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Shaqiri said: “I’m very happy to be here. It’s a huge club with big history, big players and a fantastic coach. So I’m really glad and happy to be here.

“As a player you always want to be on the biggest stage in football. A few years ago I wanted to come too but it didn’t happen. I’m really happy that now I’m finally here. I want to improve myself too, I want to be with the best and I want to win titles. That’s what I’m here for.”

Shaqiri had two years remaining on his Stoke contract but made clear his intentions to leave following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last season. Stoke’s relegation activated a release clause that made him an attractive, cut-price proposition for several clubs across Europe, including Lazio, but his preference was to remain in the Premier League with Liverpool.

Shaqiri almost signed for the Anfield club, then managed by Brendan Rodgers, in 2014 having fallen out of favour at Bayern when Pep Guardiola took charge. Klopp believes the player’s experience at the highest level and ability to play both flanks will make him a valuable option for Liverpool next season.

    Fantastic signing for LFC.

At 13.5M he is an absolute bargain. Has EPL experience and a great replacement when we rest Salah. @MMHS your thoughts?

true, i think the english teams have learnt a lesson - inflated prices, especially due to the world cup.

However you do need a goalie and hope lovren can play like he has done for croatia. you do need a good midfielder who can pass the ball

I think under Klopp he will improve considerably. Firstly needs to get a fitter, shedding some excess fat from his body. His role will be defined clearly and he will be told not to expect to start every game but be ready to play every game. Playing alongside great players he will learn a lot and although he's not a kid but at 26 he's young enough to improve.

He has great vision and a beauty of a left foot, so can pass, cross and shoot well. This signing was a no brainer for Liverpool.
