Sarfaraz is not good enough to be batting 6 in conditions away from UAE, Shadab indeed should come in before him.

Lord's isn't known for its pace and bounce so not sure if its a good idea to persist with this ploy for too long.

Should stick to bowling a fuller, probing length.

Perhaps give him a few tests instead of writing him off? He has played some huge knocks in first class cricket. This is an issue that can be fixed in a small amount of time.

325-350 would be ideal. Not expecting this inexperienced batting lineup to post 400 plus.

This pitch will flatten out and the weekend will be ideal for batting so we need a big lead.

Haris really needs to work hard. Even in the ICC world cup 2015 he always looked good to the eye playing some excellent strokes and had a lot of time to play the shots. Even many cricketing experts were impressed with him but even then he only used to make 20, 30 odd runs. The guy has a lot of potential but unless he starts making some substantial scores team is only gonna benefit a little bit with the partnership he makes and few runs he score.

Though credit to him he built a good partnership with Azhar in difficult conditions however considering his talent he should be doing a lot more.

I think he’s one big innings away to make his talent count. He’s got almost all basics coveted that u want to see in a top order batsman. Will come good soon In Sha Allah ..

Pakistan should at least score 275 from here.

Its the first 30-50 balls Shafiq struggles big time with concentration and footwork. After that footwork becomes good and concentration improves

The first 8 overs of the day were good, Pakistan got 30-0 in them after that it all went a bit pear shaped.

The problem with hazir is that he is sometimes too keen to work the ball around and in the process plays the ball early. Needs to wait for the ball in seamers friendly conditions.

The way England took on Shadab, Pakistan need to look to do the same against Bess.
