Well we had to expect a response from England - no way were they going to be as poor as at Lord's.

Facing the new Dukes in England is always testing, just need to come through this first 45 minutes unscathed.

Not really...it was a bad shot that got the wicket, not the bowling. The Lords pitch was tougher on the 2nd day then this. Just need to apply ourselves...

Imam does need work, the way his bat comes down at an angle is awful for a test opener

If you think about the first 4 overs, there hasn't been anything great . . just good swing bowling and almost all balls outside the off stump . . Azhar ali has almost not had to play at anything and even stuart broad is bowling wwide . . .

In england, regardless of pitch . . first day, first session! you always respect the bowling . . runs come after . .

Stupid from Imam! there was no need to play at that . . The commentators lauded pakistan for being so disciplined at Lords . . at leaving . . well, Imam already went against taht discipline

Pakistan's success over the last year, especially in England, has been making the opposition bat first and then chase a low total.

Going in to bat is against Pakistan's strength
