[VIDEO] "In a ten-team World Cup, there will be more opportunities for each team" : Sarfaraz Ahmed

    Sarfraz’s quotes from pre-match presser(courtesy PCB):

‘First of all congratulations to Scotland Cricket as it was a great day for them (Victory against England)’

‘We weren't taking the Scotland games lightly regardless of the result of their game against England’

‘T20I cricket is not easy as we saw Afghanistan defeat Bangladesh 3-0.’

‘Regardless of being number one or eight side in the world, have to play well on the day in T20Is to win the game.’

"Its not my domain to talk about ICC policies; but with 10 teams like in 1992 WC, there will be more opportunities for each team as they will play 9 games each"

‘Its good for Scotland if they play better quality teams as that will help them get better.’

‘Mohammad Amir is fine and fit to play tomorrow.’

Seems like both Hasan and Amir will play especially after Scotland's good show against England. Pak will look to retain their nr 1 spot.

[VIDEO] Sarfraz Ahmed & Kyle Coetzer Pre Match Press Conference

Sarfraz & Kyle spoke to media ahead of the 1st T20 game Yesterday.

Sarfraz was up first in what was probably the shortest press conference ever

“Congrats to Scotland Cricket – it was a great day for them”

“Yesterday was Scotland’s day – the way they batted, the way they fielded and the way the bowled – they played really well”

“We weren’t taking Scotland lightly even before the England game. The T20 format is not an easy format – we just saw Afghanistan beat Bangladesh 3-0”

“T20 is not easy - You have to play well whether you are the No.1 ranked side or the No.8 ranked side. The day you play well you win the match”

“It’s good for Scotland to play against teams like England and Pakistan. If they play against more teams, their cricket will get better”

“[Scotland] have been playing against ICC associate nations – who are good – but if they play against the better teams, they will also do better and better day by day”

“It’s not my domain to talk about the ICC side of things, however a 10 team World Cup gives the teams more opportunity. This is like the 1992 World cup, with 10 teams every team will get at least 9 games, so there is a lot of opportunity for everyone, but it’s not my domain to talk about the ICC’s policies”

“[Mohammad Amir] is fine and he is fit to play”
Kyle was up next following the euphoric win against England

"We went into the game believing we could challenge England and put them under pressure, but whether we could beat them was another matter. As it panned it out it was a brilliant days cricket with two quality teams performed exceptionally well on the day and created a spectacle for the world game"

"It was a fantastic occasion and well done to everyone involved. Everyone was involved in creating history"

"The atmosphere was electric and it was quite hard to get hold of our guys on the field, and as much as it's not advised that people run onto the field afterwards, that created a great atmosphere and it just showed the passion for the game and how great a day it was"

"The atmosphere was electric and it is something that we would like to happen again here at The Grange at some stage"

"There are going to be alot of eyes on these next couple of days on the back of what we have done against England, so it's important not to think that we have done our bit - we need to continue that and look to continue to apply pressure on Pakistan, who are the no.1 side in the T20 format. They are going to be a strong opposition and they are not there for no easy reason, they've done all the right things and put them selves rightfully in that position"

"Whatever we do is great for Cricket Scotland, but is also great for the associate world and now we have 2 opportunities to make more statements"

    I refuse to comment

It's a false half full kinda situation.

Having supported Pakistan like there's no tomorrow for my entire life is a hard habit to let go of, whilst not supporting Scotland - specially when they are playing as courageously as they did on Sunday - is hard to do. I'll leave it at that
