We have to remember he is still only 24, I think in his second year of international cricket and already helped Pakistan to a tournament win and has several good international performances.

Let him develop at his own pace.

Dude was literally pulling covers with the labour in South Africa to try and save the match from being raining out Pakistans favour. Unsure what these accusations are based on but to me he seems to always bring in a 100%.

Good to see him bowling well, as he wasn't himself for some time now. I hope he continues to bowl well and takes the New ball against Australia, so we can lock our New ball pair before the WC.

I do not feel the guy is motivated because of money. Seems to be one of the genuine hard workers for his side and cannot perform every match the way fans would like. This will improve with time. The wickets of Lahore Qalandar's openers who have been in good form and the wicket of AB Divilliers were just brilliant!

Hasan Ali had a good 2018 in tests but a relatively poor one in ODIs.

Pakistan needs a performing Hasan Ali in the WC as he's one of those bowlers when he's on a roll he can dismantle opposition batsman as displayed in the CT when he took 3 wickets in every game after the opening defeat.

He had a poor series in SA (averaging over 50), it seems he's not tall enough to be potent with a kookaburra on faster tracks like in Aus and SA, so he should not play in tests held there.

Even though he's still a tail ender, he adds just a little bit more firepower with the lower order batting and has scored a couple of brisk 50s in SENA against NZ and more recently against SA. If he can work on his defensive technique he could become a useful slogger at number 8.

As I posted many time before the psl, a bowler as good as hasan will find his form again... And boy did he, on the flattest wickets going.

Can't wait to see him in England, along with shaheen, shadab, Amir and whoever else gets picked.

Hope he gets the new ball vs England, but our skipper gave a guy who shouldn't even be in the team the new ball in the practice games. Hope Hasan gets a chance and shines.

Practice matches would have been ideal for him to take the new ball and get into the groove before being tested against a top team. If team management thought otherwise then, there is a slim chance they would change their plans now.

Basically, team management thinks of him as an ideal wicket taker through the middle overs which he has shown here in England and his role has been magnified in the absence of other wicket taker in that phase(Shadab), that's why they might have thought to stick with him there.

Out of the 6 pacers, 4 will be used with the new ball mostly and 2 with the older ball.

New ball: Amir, Shaheen, Junaid and Faheem

    Old ball: Hasan and Hasnain

Faheem offers nothing with the new ball, that is the problem I have with him. When you had Amir and Junaid opening the bowling it was okay to have Hasan in the middle overs, but since Amir is nowhere near as good anymore, you need a replacement that is also good with the new ball.

Hasan and Shaheen are a good new ball combination, and then Hasnain can come in later and be effective because of his pace. I even think it would be better for Faheem if he was to bowl in the middle overs and not the new ball. His bowling is straight and in the powerplay people are trying to go after you, if he bowls in the middle, he can have some fielders back, because his role really is to get some overs in, ideally at no more than 5 an over.

I like Hasan Ali but I have to say it's quite embarrassing to see him celebrate like this in a meaningless t20 against a second string side!

Really does epitomise the small team mentality among the players.

21 wickets in 9 matches in England, 20.47 average 5.14 economy.

Hasan Ali has been absolutely shocking for over a year now. There is absolutely no zip in his bowling and seems to have lost all the aggression. His confidence is at the lowest at the moment and it remains to be seen whether he can pull it back from here or just continue to regress further.

What exactly has gone wrong, remains to be an enigma.

I don’t think it’s the lack of zip, his pace has been pretty decent and he’s hitting the pitch hard.

I think he just needs a kick up the backside, should be benched for the next game.

Same is happening to Amir as well, he was supposed to be next Wasim Akram but now his ODI rank is in 40s with a 40+ bowling average in last few years

We were told that the only reason he was having a tough time is because stupid captain never gave him the new ball. Well today he got the shiny new cheery and got smashed for 34 off 3 overs while Amir on the other end had picked up 2 wickets at 4 rpo.

The WI team just blew Pakistan up with short balls. And then comes Hassan Ali:

Hasan Ali to Gayle, SIX runs, smashed, but without timing. And it still manages to clear the straight boundary. Another full ball, Gayle clears his leg again and thrashes it with a full swing of his arms, doesn't time it at all, almost slices it. Still gets maximum

Hasan Ali to Gayle, SIX runs, boom, Chris Gayle is in the house. Too full and Gayle nails the pickup that time, smashes it over long-on. Was the slower ball, off-cutter perhaps. But Gayle read it

Criticizing the bowlers is unfair, even the best teams will have a tough time defending 105 runs

He has regressed, problem is like a lot of our players they do that. The fame gets to their heads and don't work on their game enough. Same with Shadab, he should the use the likes of Mushi, Saqlain, Ajmal to improve his game. All you see of him is on social media having with a bromance with Hassan Ali!!

Hassan is a shadow of the bowler from the ICC Champions Trophy. Why? Teams have worked him out and he has not developed his game in the 2 years since the ICC Champions Trophy.

Rubbish bowler. Can't take wickets, can't stop the flow of runs, and then that cringeworthy fake aggression.

Still living off his initial success. A team like India, Australia, etc. would have dropped him long time ago.

I rather have Shaheen in for him. At least he's been taking wickets barring the last 5 matches he's played.

If he carries on like this for the rest of the tournament, he should be dropped. He has been given a lot of backing and has been poor for a while. We can’t keep sticking with players who aren’t performing.

We should bench him until he gets is movement back. The current scenario for our bowlers is such that they get benched knowing full well they will be back a game or two later when their replacement does even worse.
I have no malice against him or consider him mediocre, but sometime you need time away for your meind to clear or for your insecurities of missing out to force you to work harder on the mental aspect of your game.

Confidence crisis. Need 1 morale boosting win as soon as possible. Things can change quickly within Pakistan cricket. What I do know is that the dressing room atmosphere certainly isn't going to be very chirpy at the moment.

Head down, sulking and a far cry of the bowler he was at CT17.

Donít think heís bowled badly, been a little unlucky. He needs to show abit more patience and consistency with his line and length. Pace was up today but he just tries too many things too quickly.

Got the edge 3 times, Gayle also miscued his slog but it was the first 10 overs so nobody was out there. We shouldn't be judging any bowler when they're defending 100 runs especially when it's against WI.

This guy needs to be dropped!
He gives way too many runs away and theres no way to build up pressure. I would play hasnain instead. He probably give away just as many runs but he also take wickets. Hasnain is taller and faster than hasan wich will be an advantage on the trent bridge pitch.

I didn't know they would update the rankings during the World Cup, and even though they don't always give a fair reflection of players quality, Hasan Ali has finally been removed from the top spot for Pakistani bowlers aswell after 2 years. Mohammad Amir overtakes him.

Anyone of those bowlers could walk in the LOI side of most other nations and be their best bowler. Not to forget we have Fahim Ashraf a handy 5th bowling option who has a knack of picking up wickets.

Today's pitch will suit him if he bowls immaculate line and length like he did in CT 2017.

Wicket has something for seamers. Archer bowled some beauties which seamed appreciably.

What is wrong with Hassan Ali?

Ok guys I'm really shocked at the downfall of Hassan Ali. The guy came in, got to no. of 1 and then bang. Where did he go wrong? It's not really like he lost his skills. You just don't lose skills just like that. There is something wrong with the guy.

How he should be bowling and where is he going wrong?
