I dont know how with this bowling Eng were able to beat Nz.

Here is a thing, Eng just bcz Rashid and Moen does better against NZ, SA and Aus in terms of bowling. However, that factor is completely marginalized when they are playing against sub contental teams.

Like i said. It is only a fraction slower and a hint of turn. India are usually te slowest team in the first 10 and even we are scoring quickly almost effortlessly.

depends who are the other players.... for example, no other team could have afforded a player like sehwag without the strong middle order that india had.

This is not a slow pitch.
This is easily a 330-380 pitch considering small boundaries.

Another 10 overs of Kohli and Rohit, this game is over.

England need 2 quick wickets. Preferably Kohli and Rahul.

Induction of Rahul has strengthened the Indian batting lineup quite a bit. Now India has another threat that can win matches his own.

That is the thing, England don't have Strac/Cummins/Rabada/Johnson/Amir/Boult type bowlers to trouble Indian Batsmen. Spin is never a problem with most Asian teams. There is nothing for ENG to through at India. You are not going to score 400 runs everyday, there has to be more depth in the team...

310 is par here. 330 would have been winning total.

England were easily 70 runs short here.

Agreed. The likes of Plunkett and wood are not going to win matches for England. You need a bowler who can swing at pace like a Starc/Rabada/Amir/Boult to get rind of Indian top order with the new ball.

England have none. The closest they got is David Willey and he is not in the same class as the above mentioned bowlers.

This is no 400+ pitch like the ones this ground has been producing. 350 looks like a winning score on this pitch with a decent bowling line up.

England batted poorly still they reached 270.

None of the English bowlers has bowled even one good over so far which could trouble Indian batsmen. Dhawan got out to a rash shot.

An ideal batting practice match now in full dress rehersal mode.
Each of top 5 batters should try to get atleast 1 boundary preferably try hitting two 4s each over.
No sixes please. Practice scoring 8 runs and over in risk free strokes.

When last 70 runs are required send in Dhoni, Pandya and Raina with a target they score combined 70 runs in 35 balls.

Yet to show he can bat at 4 in ODIs. A totally dufferent challenge. Think Ganguly has suggested Rahul at 3 and Kohli at 4 even for ODIs. Doubt Kohli will do this though.

I did say it is a 350 -400 pitch. it depends on the bowling lineup of course. But 268 is a phenomenal effort by any bowling side no matter what. Any other bowling side would have struggled to keep them below 350.

These 2 making it look easy. England batting depth is very good but India look a better balanced side. They have 4 bowlers who make the team on bowling merit. Batting line up is reliant in top 3 but today's middle order is a bit stronger.

India looking good for WC but it's a year away yet. Anything can happen now.

For those saying this is not a 400 + pitch. England were 166/1 after 25 overs in that 444 match. They went berserk after that

    rahul....

sounds a stronger top order especially in flat pitches. Since now a days, pitches are mostly flat, so we do have an edge.

Nasser Hussain in the Sony Indian commentary box. Does that mean the Sony Indian commentators will be in the Sky Sports box too? I wouldn't be surprised if they've given up hope on Harbhajan.

What a drive from Kohli. @Bilal7 looks like Kohli will have match winning century knocks in England and South Africa. Going to hillairious to see how you switch your goal posts now

207/1 after 30 overs. Double the score = 414. Batting first this should have been a 450 belter. India just bowled like champions while other treams gave away 444 and 481 and 350 etc.

Lots of ignorant cricket fans here cant believe.
England is currenly n.o 1 odi team guys. Although india is always consistent n.o 1. But you cant ignore england team like this. You dnt reach to n.o 1 ranking aive hi ...
Fact is india is tge strongest team and they 9 out of 10 times would beat any team any where if play to tgeir potential .
Batting order of dhawan, rohit, kohli,kl rahul, dhoni ,pandya is no joke.
Plus bowling of bumrah, bhuvi ,shami or umesh plus kuldeep or chahal or ashwin or jadeja.
Man what else you want. I would still play ms dhoni instead of any otger keeper in the world especially for odi matches. His keeping skills, running between wickets ,and hitting ability is still no match to anyone.
One more middle order batsman and one more match winner fast bowler.india gonna be unbeatable
