Chris Green - Australian off-spinner

He's bowling beautifully in the CPL right now- seems to be enjoying the conditions.

Varies his pace well and has some very clever variations including a useful arm ball with which he dismissed Evan Lewis. He was also robbed of Gayle's wicket by the umpire.

He opened the bowling for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash and did a decent job.

He was signed for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 3 but didn't play- looks like they missed a trick.

    Handy with the bat too...

Brilliant over at the death. Only went for three and picked up the wicket of Chapman. Has swung the momentum.

Yep.He was a part of the Lahore Qalandars-Sydney Thunder exchange program. He never played a game that season. The following season he was picked by Quetta Gladiators and played a few games.Didn’t do too bad.

As I mentioned in OP, he is yet to feature in the playing XI of a PSL side.

He even went to Pakistan for the qualifier but had to warm the bench.

I mixed him up with the fast bowler Ben Laughlin who played a few games for Quetta.

    Seems to love pressure.

When pretty much everyone else is going at more than 10 an over, he returns with 2-19 from his four overs and in doing so helped his team defend 209. Particularly impressive given he bowled in PP- Shoaib Malik seems to trust him a lot!

Interestingly he seems to have developed a variation from the front of his hand- like a carrom ball- which he gets to turn away from the right hander. Got the wicket of Ross Taylor with it.

Still needs to improve his off-breaks, but his height and ever growing range of variations make him a very useful bowler.

Who said he was? He's a limited overs specialist.

Btw, would I be correct in assuming he is eligible for Australia (not sure how strict the requirements are with foreign-born players)? If so, with a bit of work he would be a much better prospect than Lyon in LOIs.

Moved over as a kid (I believe) and has Aus citizenship. Same boat as Khawaja.

He's definitely got a carrom ball- he's bowled it a few times this CPL.

Reckon he will be picked up by a 3rd PSL team this year! If Shoaib Malik trusts him and he is ready to travel to Pakistan, he is an ideal player for Multan Sultans! Him and Imran Tahir together can cause some serious destruction

Wanted to see how he bowled on a slow, turning wicket and he showed tonight that he is an intelligent bowler and can adjust. He's not looking to dart it in, instead he's slowed it down and given the ball a chance to turn. Bowled beautifully- you'd be forgiven for thinking he was bowling in a test! 4-1-8-2 were his figures.

His action is a bit dodgy but he is a decent bowler and can bat too. Hopefully he will be in next PSL.

Lahore made him warm the bench during PSL2 for whole season and Quetta did same last season
Don't see us ascending from 7th/6th in the near future. 5-0 in England and South Africa awaits us, we will be lucky to even draw one match.
Is he seriously captaining GAW in the final or is there something wrong with the scoreboard? @mak36

He has been captain for the last two-three games or so.

Shoaib left and then I think they dropped Emrit so they made Chris Green captain.

Not bad for a player who wasn't even initially part of the tournament!

Yeah, was pretty surprised considering how inexperienced he is.

Just checked. This is his fourth game in charge (two wins, one loss so far).

To be honest, I was very surprised by it. Came completely out of nowhere.
