Interesting. So Pakistan being a minnow and whatnot had a similar record outside Asia and in SENA countries as the mighty India in tests.

Pakistan is slightly better as a matter of fact. Matches in England were major factor in this regard , where Pakistan won matches and India lost alot.

As usual, SA doing much worse in these tournaments compared to bilaterals.

Removing the bottom ranking teams from WC could have a positive impacts. Look at the abysmal teams that certain teams feast on and make their records look better. I'd suggest ICC organize more bilaterals against those teams but leave them out of the WC.

    South Africa 0 0 1 0 1
    New Zealand 0 0 0 1 1

While the overall table shows India and West Indies having identical record. In knockout matches the difference between them is massive with West Indies lifting to 2 T20 World Cups.

    Agree with this.

    1) 1 ODI WC win, 2 SF exits, 1 CT win, 1 final thrashing,
    2) No.1 ranked test nation for 3+ years,
    3) Best T20 record of all teams though not winning a single world tourney will rankle....

Should have won more ICC cups. Winning no T20 World Cups despite being the best T20 team by numbers was extremely disappointing.

At least one t20 WC and one more ODI WC. Shouldn't have been humiliated in Eng and Australia in first half of decade.

Appreciate the post and the hardwork involved.

I'm sorry to say I don't agree with UAE considered as a home venue for Pakistan.

    Very good post
This decade has been what 90s was to India
Also worth mentioning here that there was one guy that captained Pakistan in 50% of all these matches in this decade

    Can some one guess who?

Hint He is currently the coach of our team.

Also @jeet kindly make the same stats for 90s and 2000s I want to compare how Pakistan fared in those decades

indias win loss ratio in asia is crazy.

the champs trophy notwithstanding has been an appalling decade for Pakistan. Mediocre from start to finish.
