300 on the cards.
India will lose this if England get to 300. I doubt our top order hacks can play any better than England top order and India does not have the tail like England.

It is funny in ironic way.
Broad asks for new bats.
Then gets out lbw.
Forgets to use the bat
73.6
Bumrah to Broad, out Lbw!! Oh that's plumb. Smashes into Broad's pad while he's pinned to the crease. Bit of an angry scream from Bumrah in celebration. It was a sharp nip-backer from round the wicket headed towards middle, completely did Broad for pace there. But what a useful partnership. Broad lbw b Bumrah 17(31) [4s-1]
Bumrah to Broad, THAT'S OUT!! Lbw!!
A substitute runs out with four bats for Broad to pick from

Damn excellent recovery by England, last I saw the score it was 86-6. India should have them all out by max 180.

England ends with 50 runs more than they should have.
But have to give credit to Curran. He's scored runs in every test he has played.
When India come out to bat they should be looking at nothing less than 350.

India had the chance to knock England out of the game on Day 1. If they had got them out for less than 150, they would have next to no chance of winning the game...unless India too collapsed in the 1st innings.
With 250, England still have a fighting chance, again depending on how well India bat in their first innings. It looks a good batting pitch. No demons. Just have to survive 20 overs of the new ball.
If India can get 400+, they could still be bossing the game. But 400 against 150 could have been game over....with 250, likelihood is India will still have to bat in the 2nd innings to force a win. Could have another Edgbaston on our hands.

Already a better start than England. Good job India. Get a nice partnership of 30-40 and let the middle order pick on the spinners
-

Already 19-0 in 4 overs. You can’t expect England with broad and Anderson to trouble India when the pathetic England batsmen can not make 300 plus. All Dhawan and Rahul need to do is make a 30 plus partnership and let the india batters take on ali, stokes and Rashid who can all be expensive .

This is the best betting pitch so far in this series. See off the new ball and India would easily score 400+
-
31st August 2018, 00:10 #302
Wonderful day for us. Pitch is pacier now but has true bounce which should help in playing shots. Need someone in top 5 to hit a 100 and score 300+ somehow.
Disappointing from Pandya after taking Cook's wicket, got carried away and forgot his own mantra of keeping it simple. His main role is to bowl tight 12-13 overs and give rest to main pacers. Should not try too many things.

246 isn't a big score unless India collapse. Southampton is a 300+ ground. England batted really poorly. Sam Curran and Moeen Ali showed what can be done on this pitch. If India bat sensibly they should get at least 75-100 run first innings lead.
