India vs Pakistan match: Would you prefer a thrilling contest or a one sided match?
Every India Pakistan match has its own charm to it. If the other side wins it by a big margin, you get trolled. If we win a one sided affair, we troll them for ages
If there is a thrilling contest, the joy of every moment is amazing. But as a contest would you like your team to be in a thrilling contest to protect the integrity and fun of the game. Or you want to play a one sided win and dish out the other team. Mind you that will finish the thrill in the game.

The last memory is Champions Trophy Final.
No matter what India does, they will keep having nightmares about it forever, especially since that tournament is scrapped and it was the final match of CT ever.
Will happily lose all the Asia Cup matches.
Champions Trophy Final --- India destroyed.
End of story.
And I get so high.. And I just can't feel it....

One sided. It's satisfying.

Hmmm. Utter domination.
We used to own India in UAE like there is no tomorrow
They stopped playing us there
Hopefully our youngsta beauties will remind them why they stopped playing us there

Domination. I don't think my heart can take a close India vs Pakistan match. I remember in the Asia Cup 2014 thriller, I was struggling to speak properly. That took over my body. Even when Pandya was smashing us in the CT final, I was getting all weird. But I'm not that fussed about it, as long as Pakistan win, but obviously if i had to choose it would be a one sided match.

Why's everyone wishing for a one-sided thumping in Pakistan's favor? I'd take a thriller any day of the week.
It's not as if Pakistan plays the top sides all year round; we might as well get to witness some great matches when we have the chance.

I am very worried that the crowds in UAE may not be able to stomach a thriller. Remember, Pak and India games havent happened there for a while and I am not sure security guys can control if things go out of hand

The crowds fought after the CT final as well. I remember seeing the video of a drunk Indian getting smashed as he was abusing families and then eventually got arrested by the police. Similarly, a guy who asked Shami baap kon hai was slapped by an Indian fan allegedly outside the stadium.

Thriller, Dont want India to win without Pakistan giving them a full on fight.
Pakistan are favourites for this tie I recon this time round

Close defeats hurts more than a mauling. I remember Afridi's 2 sixes in Asia cup when we were close to winning hurted more than CT final where after 10 overs we were already out of the game. Infact after Pandya got run out, I was rooting for Pak to finish the tail asap so that I close the tele and do something else. Similarly for Pak fans, Sreesanth's catch in WT20 final must hurt more than say 2015 WC when they were never in the game.
Having said all that, I was thinking in isolation and more I think it makes me puke more thinking about our middle order. Rayudu, Jadhav, Dhoni, Karthik....is possibly the worst middle order we have even fielded. Absolutely no way they can give a close fight to Pak especially in UAE conditions. So I think 19th sept game will be an easy job for Pak. Maybe the next match against Pak, we would do bit of homework and retrospect and give Pak a tough fight.

What do you mean? Thats the players in the squad....who else will play? The only alternative is Pandey who is even worse..lol
Selectors should hv selected Pant inplace of Dhoni, Gill/Agarwal in place of Rayudu, Iyer in place of Pandey. A team of Rohit, Dhawan, Rahul, Iyer, Gill, Pant, Pandya is a solid line up.

TBH with the middle order that has been given to us for this tournament, I don't care about this tourney, on one hand we have exciting talent in Shaw Gill pant Kishan and Aggarwal plus siraj khaleel saini rajpoot gopal and yet these dimwit selectors pick oldies and ttfs don't care who wins preferably India not doing well might see a lot of ttfs going out so would deffo want that.

Iyer had his opportunity in the A series against South Africa and Australia .And he failed massively. And Gill is still new and has not done anything spectacular yet like Shaw. Pant should have been in place for Dhoni.
Agarwal is an opener so its tough for him to find a place.
Both Pandey and Rayudu showed their performances in the A series and that is why they are in the team. And honestly, I believe they are good enough for UAE against these opposition on slow pattas where there wont be much movement and bounce.

Sure, I loved it when Pakistan destroyed India in the final but the winning moments didn't give me as rush of a blood as say the 2014 Asia Cup. When Amir got Kohli, I knew that we won and celebrated as if we had already won. However, with the Asia Cup match, you had a constant turns and twists which get you Very hyped up.
I'll take either as long as Pakistan wins but a thriller has it's own unique feeling.

Pakistan to thump India and utterly annihilate them, although I would not mind a tight finish, even if its a loss as long as Pak win the whole tourney.

Would love to smash Pakistan to smithereens. But reality is PAK are too good for us and even with Kohli we are an overrated side. Without him, im not sure these guys can even name the final - which is good as it would mean only 2 losses to Pakistan at best

There is special joy in giving opposition hope and crushing it at the last moment. A la Asia Cup Afridi sixes.
