Amir is not good enough and has never been good enough to perform consistently. That 2010 series in England where conditions were the most difficult for batting clouded our expectations and judgement

By now it should be clear that Amir simply isn't a wicket taking bowler. But just can't blame him, the batting was exceptionally mediocre.

At the moment he is creating pressure for his team, by not performing as well as he should be.

He is turning out to be a one trick pony. If he doesn't get that shape in the first burst he is quite average.

He has always been an average bowler hyped by PP propaganda machine.
Usman looks like a much better prospect despite his failure today.

Usman looked more threatening against HK than Amir did.

    Mickey Arthur on Amir:

"Of course Amir's lack of wickets is concerning, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't. I had a long chat with him last night and I thought he came out and bowled well today. He hit the crease hard, he ran in well. He's been decelerating to the crease but he didn't do that today, he seemed more fluent and there was a bit more pace but of course there's more pressure on him"

If the game is decided in the first 10 overs then the death overs don’t matter. He is failing to take wickets upfront and his inability to bring the ball into the right handed means he’s a one trick pony.

Actually going by champion trophy performances I think junaid was better at the death.

He had to deal with drop catches and bowling beautiful deliveries but nor getting wickets. But if it's a matter of luck then why he got wickets and won the match for us in CT17 final? If he's truly unlucky is it worth it carrying around in each game?

P.S: I personally think he is unlucky, but also haven't showed much passion and aggression against smaller sides.
He is desperately unlucky Amir, especially considering he knows he cant rely on his inept fielders and every wicket should either be bowled or LBW...that is enormous pressure on yourself, its a team game and he is not being backed up by his fielders. Its evident that he has given up almost because of this, almost disheartened.

He is bit like Bhuvaneshwar. If the ball is moving he is a real threat but if it is not then he doesn't have many tricks to beat the batsmen.

He was not his usual best today and not able to keep it tight. Usually he is economical and keeps it tight.

That tells the story of an overrated cricketer, who got lucky Pakistan piled up 350 in the CT final.

Had he been asked to defend 200 or 250, he would have been carted all over the park just like today.

And I get so high.. And I just can't feel it....

Yeah India always bottle chasing 300+ against all teams, not just Pakistan (earlier against England this year). But under 300 and India are ruthless.

Oh god when he made his comeback. We saw many of his catches being dropped and I used to day he's so unlucky. But ever since CT17 even that's not happening.

You don't average 100+ with the ball even if you're out of form lol. Not even Bangladesh bowlers are this bad.

Amir has to perform in atleast one of the remaining matches while taking 2-3 wickets in a 10 overs spell. Only than he will be retained in the squad. Otherwise I see him getting dropped from Odi squad.

Sword would be hanging on him for Test squad selection aswell but He is lucky that currently no F.C. pacer is challenging his spot.

Time to drop him from the squad in all formats and make him work to earn his place back in the team.
