Maybe "experts" on here can write long novels for Bangladeshi captain as well and how he let Afghanistan score this many after they were 7 down for no score.

Mashrafe is to blame. Should have bowled spinners instead of himself and Rubel. Afghans were struggling against finger spinners.

This is why I never liked Mash to play today - eventually, he ends up sweating for 8 overs and stay whole time in field, AFGs are posting a winning total and tomorrow half of BD team will be struggling for breather from start.

Unless they carry forward points, this format is use less.

Have to say Afghanistan are on the course to become strong cricket team. They look like making quicker progress compared to Bangladesh/Ireland! Hong Kong is a volatile team, the migrants can go missing any time or themselves may get disinterested/disintegrated.

I guess, you should have realized by now that I don't bother about responding your post, even if you tag me. Next is blocking you - don't force me to do that, it'll be embarrassing, for you.

Rashid played an exceptional innings, I doubt hardly any thing BD Captain could have done in last overs with his bowling options - may be he could have barked at few kids, but that doesn't represent a good show in front of global audience.

Afg batting lineup is deep and on a good day they can easily score 300. Great to see their hard work is paying off. They been playing brilliant cricket.

If I compare SL, Bangla rise from Minnow to test nation I say Afghanistan is the quickest to learn and show that they can compete with the big teams.

We needed one man to score 144 to reach 262 against SRL, batting first - definitely they are winning this, with comfortable margin. 220 was probably the max. limit, but Rashid played a match winning innings here.

Beating SRL and now putting up this performance against BD shows they are a team on their way up.

Loss of Tamim will hurt BD. I don't see any one outside of Mushfiq and may be Shakib who can score a 50. The rest look like bits and pieces players.

They are very competitive against ODI teams ranked between 6-9, will not trouble PAK.

I'm not too sure about that. When Kedar Jhadav can pick up 3 wickets then Rashid Khan would be licking his lips.

    1) Players play with the best in the world.

    2) Players can develop their game without worrying about sucking up to selectors as they know IPL teams care only about performance (which they have to given the huge amounts of money they pay out).

Exactly. Sounds like yesterday when Bumrah was a MI rookie known for his ugly action, while Rashid's selection was seen more as a political statement. Look at them now.

You guys wanted to rest entire team against AFG. Pathetic stuff from Bd.

I specially mentioned loosing to Ind pak is ok, but we are expected to win vs Afg.

I won’t be surprised if Pakistan lose chasing anything above 220
Our batsmen won’t be able to handle this pressure Afghan has quality in bowling

Do you think playing full team can cover 95 for 8th wicket in less than 10 overs?

I hope, the excuse of a dead rubber is valid and they pull up the socks in Super 4 round. Losing to AFGs isn't the end of the world, but that bowling finish is embarrassing even against IND.
