Pakistan cricket is that dumb investor who consistently puts it's money on high risk assets, which inevitably blow up in it's face.

The pitch has taken a lot of turn and it's been sharp turn. So not all is lost. However, Pakistan absolutely gifted two wickets of Azhar and Babar which Australia won't when they'll be batting. Pakistan needs 250 on the board at least to make a match out of this.

They're mentally week. Every team goes through collapses like these. Even Australia had the collapse in the 1st match but see how quickly and strongly made come back in the 4th innings.

If a team loses 2 or 3 quick wickets. They know how to deal with this situation. Where as Pakistani players hands and legs get blown.

Skill has got nothing to do with it, its all about mental strength & sadly the whole team is made up of mental midgets. The whole team needs to stop playing cricket for a while & see a sport psychologist ASAP! On a side note, i wonder how the alpha males of the old Pakistani team like Javed Miandad, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram would react seeing this insecure bunch of wannabe superstars.

ya i understand brother they r mentally weak. Ive been following pak cricket for years now. Ive seen them collapse many times espcially fourth innings when wicket is doing something or opposition has got some quality bowlers. But losing four wickets for no run before lunch on 1st day in abu dhabi??? The other spinner being Holland?? I think somthings seriusly wrong with this current setup. And obviously playing likes of babar who has got no first class runs behind him.

Mental weakness does a lot of things + Pakistan have faced humiliation in Asia Cup, vs Sri Lanka and the last test match. Their confidence must be 0 too.

With all the talk of all these softies:

They have no FC experience. I understand that our FC structure isn’t exactly the best but FC cricket allows a player to learn more about their game and learn their strengths and weaknesses and become mentally stronger. I understand that the majority of players in this team are young/inexperienced but even the younger players in the Aussie team have 30 FC outings under their belt which is around a season and a half or two seasons, which is way better than our current bunch. In 30-35 matches they’ve been in a few different situations and know how they have to play in those situations to survive or thrive. Our players rely solely on their “talent” to get them out of these tricky situations which just won’t happen. The sooner this set up will understand that the better, otherwise we can expect to see our team crawl even lower in the Test rankings.

How did clutch batsmen like Azhar, shafiq, Sohail get out so cheaply? Is there any serious turn in the pitch? If so Sarfraz wouldn't have survived for so long. What just happened 😲

if we get to 250-300 from here 125/5 would be a miracle.

dont know what to say..if we get to 200 that would be a minor miracle..all the usual pp hype stars getting found out when they are required to stand up..doesnt help that your bes ttest batsman azhar is horribly out of form either..

Babar should never be playing at no.3 and before fawad alam in the test side..

Very impressed at how Fakhar has gone about his inns today.

I think Azhar and Babar should be looked to dropped for next test series.

Fakahr has curbed his instincts well. Sarfraz has done well as well. But only a victory should keep him as captain.
