    Good news.

However, we all know the condition of domestic pitches. People take wickets for fun.

That's why nobody takes domestic stats seriously.

However, Abbas is so far a proven success at international level. So he is quality. And his international stats should be looked at.

    Which are also excellent.

What was the point of saying two completely at odds things? I don't get some posters here, why bring negativity in to everything and anything just to sound knowledgeable or something?

We do have Mr. Gloom and Doom for Pak (in everything) here on PP for that, why do rest of the postersl need to act the same way as well?

This guy has peaked way way too early in his career. My only fear is that he doesnt get injured bowling a million overs in county cricket.

I think you nailed it.. its because almost everyone wants to be an expert. If its not the pitches, they blame him for peaking too early .. we should really call this negative nancies forum or debbie downers inc or something..

Life isn't all sunshine and roses, you have to be realistic.

He is not wrong that the state of our pitches is abysmal where uncles like Aizaz Cheema wreak havoc.

I can also argue about the plethora of overly optimistic, deluded, and biased fans on here that go out of the way in support of characters like Hafeez and his chucking. So I have come to respect the posters who balance it out by being realistic and neutral.

Hmm, so stating the facts (where I also praised Abbas) is negativity?

How about just saying well done Abbass especially since he has already demonstrated he some world class skills? Why focus on what others are saying, do we always have to say something based on what others are saying?

How many bowlers have a stat of under 20 in Pak domestic cricket? Let's not belittle the domestic performance of the number 1 test bowler in the world.

Not him but his domestic performance by implying his 400 wickets are the result of poor pitches prepared in Pakistan.

    Not belittling Abbas.

I'm just saying domestic stats usually do not indicate anything conclusively. Once a bowler debuts, we should look at international stats only. And Abbas is very good there.
