And just to add, Root has battered SL, England have played with a new intent, a swagger missing for a while but returned in the Asian dampness. If they win, it will be a quite remarkable, un-imagined test series victory. One for the ages.

Really well played by Root, almost match winning Test 100 in difficult conditions. And, more impressive that he kept scoring at a faster rate, which is key on this track. If SRL is to chase this total, they'll also have to do it inside 80 overs.

301 for Sri Lanka to win, which in these conditions will be near impossible to get.

Foakes again, 65 not out, whatís his average I wonder?!

Last dismissal (Anderson bowled) kept very low, snuck under his bat. More good news for England!

Great test and series. Some great pitches being produced by the Lankan curators : difficult for batting without being dustbowls, classic turning wickets. Absolutely brilliant.

Wonderful Test match, going to end as a nail biter. SRL has a decent tail and Dickwella, Perera & Akila can bat, but I think Angelo has to get a 100 here to win the Test.

I remember Curren survived a close stumping call at the star of his 1st innings and probably that last partnership of 1st innings is going to be decisive here.

If SRL can bring the target below 75 with 5 down, or may 6 at most (& Angelo still in), ENG will go in panic mood - then the best time to attack & score some quick runs.

I am just loving the approach of SRL in this run chase. Not an easy one, but they are always in. Good defiant knocks from the middle orders. Overall a very good test match for the viewers . Who say that test cricket is boring? I always find test matches much more interesting than T20.

Play has been abandoned due to rain on day four of the second Test between Sri Lanka and England. The home side will need 75 runs to win on Sunday with England requiring three more second innings wickets to win the series. A thrilling finish awaits us tomorrow should rain not play a spoil-sport.

I think England will edge this one. It's difficult to restart the day after. Dickwella is dangerous but can't trust the other batsmen left.

Hope Sri Lanka win but think England will edge this.

    What a win!

Leach had me quaking this morning. For the first time in his Test career, the nerves got the better of him and he bowled very badly.

Moeen sorted things out in the end.

A great team performance across the 2 Tests. Letís go for the whitewash now!

amazing win, congrats @James and @Robert, well done, your team is improving tremendously. Just need to find a replacement for Cook and maybe a consistent 140+ fast bowler.
