I've seen him hang around while others have failed to do so. Also, he has a knack of getting bug runs. His conversion is amazing. We need someone like that, someone with the hunger to get big hundreds. Guys like Shafiq, Azhar and Sarfraz don't win you matches. You need runs on the board.

Totally. He just needs to resolve few issues but other than that excellent attitude and temperament. He is just 23 so he can only improve from here if he works hard on his weaknesses.

I guess some posters here are too fast in making judgements. Fakhar made 50s in both innings on debut and that also on slow wickets.

He has the best record amongst domestic openers for a reason. He isnt gonna change his natural game but kn his day can win a test match for you.

Frustrating innings from Fakhar. He didn't look comfortable but he survived the initial spell which was great but then he got out to a ball that was nothing special.

He has the best record amongst domestic openers for a reason. He isnt gonna change his natural game but kn his day can win a test match for you.
His dismissal today was plain stupid. He had done all the hard work and survived the testing period. Momentum was with Pakistan but he gave it away immediately.

Off the 3 openers. Shan has looked the most adaptable in these conditions

    Fifty up for Pakistan.

Only Pakistan fans would be nervous at 50-1 and in the lead.

Imam 30 off 40 balls and Fakhar 12 off 40, just goes to show he really wasnt looking to play according to the situation or the track. No game plan whatsoever. Dissapointing innings from him

His strength is not to play an innings like you would expect Hanif Mohammed to play. Surely he is played to score quick runs and relieve pressure? But in tests, when the team is constantly under pressure, he gets out of his comfort zone.
