No. Don't expect him to be the attacking spear head of a bowler that he no longer is. He has found a role and that is to keep it tight and wait for the batsman to make a mistake. In that role he has done brilliantly and taken wickets at 21 a piece.

The guys whose role is to be the strike bowler need to step up, here that's Hassan. Shaheen should have been there as well.

Yeah and if I have to bring up the number of times you have been humiliated on this forum, we'll be here for a long time buddy.

Please take this criticism somewhere else, I suggest somewhere the sun doesn't shine. None of us here are interested in a teenager whining all day.

Hasan was clocking high 130s and low 140s consistently in UAE. His pace should be up 3-5k on these pitches because you don't have to dig into the pitch to get bounce here. Instead it's dropped the opposite way. It's not just one bowler, it's been consistent with all of them. It's either the altitude or they've over-trained trying to acclimatize.

The inability of our pacers to swing the new ball is unbelievable. Even Zimbabwean trundlers get more movement in the air.

One of the biggest reasons for our decline in the fast bowling department is the death of new ball skills.

Apart from Amir (that too once in 2 years) and Asif, hardly any bowler has been able to use the new ball.

Altitude could be an issue for pace, but absolutely no reason for these gun barrel straight new ball bowling with Kookaburra at that pace. And, I am sure heart is not there - bowlers are going through the motion. Finally Captainís yelling has got to it's toll.

Must say, this is the first series where I've been hearing this altitude excuse.

Fast or fast medium bowlers should relish South African conditions - look at Philander.

Junaids was right about Hasan. People got carried away by his purple patch in 2017. An okay bowler at best, nothing special.

Apart from Amir (that too once in 2 years) and Asif, hardly any bowler has been able to use the new ball.
Itís only because of UAE wickets were pacers are used to take shine off for spinners & domestic wickets which are length-line seemers paradise. Lack of new ball skill is probably the worst contribution in PAK cricket from UAE, followed by Azhar Ali mould strokeless wonders.

its alarming that a country who have produced the king of swing and fastest bowler of all time. has not produced a quality bowler for almost a decade now

Last match nobody was swinging the ball much - not even Steyn. Lets wait till SA pacers bowl to see if this rubbish ball swing before coming to conclusions. What SA bowlers do have is quicker bowlers who hit the deck hard to get wickets when there is no swing. This is where PAK have lacked imo.

This guy Markram is a match winner. If you don't get him out quick, he scores big and fast and takes the game away.
