Just to add. We both are non vegetarians and I am a big foodie and a steak lover. So suggestions for good restaurants are most welcome.

Visit Niagara-On-The-Lake, Niagara Falls, Downtown, Ripleys Aquarium, CN Tower, Casa Loma and enjoy thousands of restaurants. Toronto has a big scene of live concerts and stage shows. But you are coming at the wrong time. Should have came after April.

I don't think this is a good time to visit Niagara, but you should explore around downtown. Check out the UofT campus too, there are some nice buildings. If you like shopping, there's the Eaton Centre, Square One, Vaughan Mills, Sherway Gardens, Yorkdale, etc.

Unless the weather is nice (i.e. 10+), going anywhere outside for extended periods is likely going to range from unpleasant to very unpleasant. You could do short bursts (i.e. 20-30 mins). Downtown Toronto gives you this option because you can use PATH as mentioned or walk into buildings. Eaton Center, Dundas Square, CN tower, Harbourfront, Ripleys Aquarium are all nice places to check out. As for beef steak, I used to go Affy's premium grill quite frequently and loved their steaks. They have one location in Mississauga and one in Pickering. Another place I liked for beef steak was Pepper Walk in Mississauga.

If you like winter then skiing, tubing are good options; there are multiple places near Toronto for that purpose.

I have tried halal steak at Affy's in Pickering and Sizzling Skillet in Scarborough and both are good.

    Worse time to visit Canada

Most of the people have given great suggestions already.

Since youíll be able to see most of the Toronto in two days, Iíd suggest you to drive up to Blue mountain resort, an hour and half drive from Toronto. Iíve never been there in winter but Iím sure theyíll have winter activities.

Niagra falls will be boring in winter but if you have never been then you must go.

No one has mentioned Distillery District, one of my fav place to visit for a stroll in summer, I know itíll be cold but still go there, itís near downtown Toronto.

    On food.
Affyís grill for the steak (one In Pickering is much better than one in Mississauga)
    Havali for halwa puri nashta
    Karahi boys for Karahi
Cafe D khan for bihari kabob
    For desi Chinese, Royal Jasmine

    Enjoy!

Toronto can be easily done in Feb in 2 days. Best thing for you to do is head out west to Calgary and/or Vancouver to see the true beauty of Canada. It is peaceful and beautiful. Canadian Rockies is regarded is probably the best place to visit in the world. GO to Banff and Jasper National Park. Go to Whistler, near Vancouver. Visit Grouse mountain in Vancouver (weather is always great in Vancouver year round).

If you haven't been out to western Canada, you haven't seen Canada. Toronto is just a city, where you can find things in any other city of the world. I suggest you highly consider a flight to Vancouver or Calgary.

Yeah I agree with this, if someone bases their opinion of Canada just on Toronto they wouldn't speak highly of it then. Heck even Montreal is an amazing place to visit. Then we have cities on the East coast that are wonderful (but only in the summer)

Thanks for sharing your perspective. This would be our first time to Canada and we don't have much idea. Will discuss with the Mrs.
