I hope he goes far, but I fear for his back with the amount of effort that goes into his bowling. His run up looks just a little too long but with him and Haris,we have 2 genuine prospects.

    Harris isnt a genuine prospect.

He lacks experience. The guy has barely played any club cricket.

Yes he did end up playing a season with some team but guys like musa have 5-6 years of club experience. After which yu get few years of youth and grade cricket and then domestic and then international.

Yes harris bowls pace but pace is not everything if you dont have the experience.

Harris is great for psl but not international quality.

Musa is great though and lets see how nasir nawaz does if he gets a chance

He was at 135 but was touching 142.

    His action is beautiful, simple.

I think he uses his wrist.

Whats crazy is that he is short height but he is still hitting pace because of the way he throws the ball.

Bazid was saying that runours are he was a 125ish bowler and he imprpved in 1 year to get till 140+

Haris and Musa both have strengths- their pace but both have to use a lot of power and that as history shows means injuries. I think Haris has to work in his fitness and you are right that he doesn't have experience but if he was bright, he can learn pretty quickly. Musa is also genuine prospect but he like Haris is short and against good players, short bowlers struggle ( a generalisation but in the whole true).

As Graeme Smith mentioned Musa has to clear his front leg otherwise his back will get hurt.

Every 2nd 3rd ball he almost falls in his follow through.

His bouncers are not as fast as his fuller deliveries. One was 135 kph and other was 136 kph.

Good Pace and attitude at such a young age. Encouraging and good to see but lots of work needed.

Glad to see a teenager from Pakistan clocking over 140 kph.

Don’t agree on Afridi. He has shown in all games so far that he is the real deal. He was probably the best bowler in SA. The only bowler from either side who swung the ball. Michael Holding kept repeating this throughout whole tour. And conditions in Eng will suit him.

Hassan, Shaheen and Amir are all in playing eleven.

I think they should select Junaid Khan as well.

Shinwari is strange case. At times he bowls some amazing deliveries but he get’s hammered as well.

Faheem Ashraf, though decent, but I just have a feeling it’s a matter of time before he is torn apart.

WC means pressure, and young bowlers take pressure differently. I agree with Afridi in SA but I worry that when the pressure really comes and in this WC there are no easy games because of the format, he won't have the experience to turn to.

The guy I was impressed most by after the u-19 wc + national t20 cup is Arshad Iqbal. We have not seen him yet. His pace, swing and bowling intelligence was impressive for that age group.

Is he Injured? Why isn't he in any PSL side? Was the best bowler for Karachi in the recent T20 cup.

His action was really faulty for a fast bowler at under 19 WC , used to slow down a bit before the delivery stride , losing the rhythm and depended too much on last minute effort and power to generate pace . Has improved to some extend but basic fault is there and not the most efficient action and very injury prone . Plus , too short for a fast bowler . If he Improves his batting, he can become a utility cricketer, someone like Yasir Arafat .

Needs to optimise his run-up, just looks a little too long and seems to be stretching to the crease.

Can't believe this is how far we've fallen.

    Before we used to get excited with 150, 155, 157, 152, 153.

    And now we're getting excited over 142, 139, 141, 143

What was Musa's performance in recent Asia under 19 cup against some really minnows under 19 teams, and how far he took the team with his performance. He was not even the 2nd best among under 19 fast bowlers in the team. I wish him luck, hope he improves and plays for Pakistan some day but not planning to join THE HYPE TEAM here, yet.

He only played 2 matches and the one against india the target was only 18.
    So u can't blame him.

Forgotten how badly Shaheen Afridi was thrashed by Gill and Shaw on the u19 cwc 2018??? In the same match musa got 4 wickets.

Apart from decent pace and bounce I have yet to see any other things that can work for him in international cricket, clearly need couple of years to judge whether he have it in him or not.

Honestly the best person to train young fast bowlers is the great Waqar Younis. Waqar shouldn’t be around the national team. Instead work with the younger crop and ensure only the best of the best get to the top. Hell do a great job.

There is 11 inches difference between Shaheen and Musa, One is 6-5" and other 5-6" in height which this is a huge difference for pace bowler. Please remind me just one fast bowler with 5-6" height who was successful at international level.

You think that is quick? We need an express bowlers, 143ks is not impressive. We need someone who can bowl over 150Ks as Pakistan's bowling is too one dimensional at the moment.

He is only 18 he can increase his pace by 10 kph.
Considering the right age for fast bowler is 25

Very rarely bowls a bad ball. Combines bowling a nagging length that hurries the batsmen with a healthy dose of short stuff/aggression.

Agreed we have plenty of these short skiddy bowlers.

If we're to compete in places like Australia or South Africa we need tall fast bowlers who can hit the deck hard hence why I'm more excited by Arshad Iqbal.

Yep. Pakistan need tall, hit the deck pacers who can get that extra bounce from a good length.
