Him playing at number 3 is the definition of nepotism.
He might actually be a half decent player but when he’s primarily a wicket keeper batsmen and averages 11 in List A, it’s pretty clear what’s going on.

Absolutely disgraceful piece of nepotism - meanwhile the likes of Saud Shakeel continue to warm the bench.

He is definitely out of shape but I would give him a proper chance with the bat before writing him off entirely.
I understand Saud Shakeel not getting a chance as he has a fairly poor T20 record but hopefully in the next game he will get to play that too at his home ground.
QG have the best management in terms of getting the most out of their players year in year out. The likes of Umar Akmal and Sohail Tanvir failed elsewhere but are showing great form for QG.
Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Nawaz have been good finds as well. Hassan Khan was a good find in the previous edition as well.
Let's see how he plays in the next game. His fielding is hit or miss however.

If anyone ever wants a one-sentence answer to India’s meteoric rise and Pakistan’s woeful demise in the cricketing fraternity in the last decade, it is the following:
“Azam Khan is promoted to Number 3 of a PSL Franchise in his debut match while Saud Shakeel collects pens and papers on the bench”.

Indeed. No matter what people say about Imam, people forget he has performed in his age groups, and he's not doing to shabbily at international level. He is an opener and its not like we have tons of those. When we saw the team in the U19 wc a few eyars ago and everyone assumed imam baba and sami would eventually make the grade coz they looked decent for U19..so why this nepotism all the time?
Azam Khan is the biggest ****** since , well im not even sure, Shoaib Malik? Maybe even Nawz sharif himself lol

There's definitely a positive here, the positive being anyone sitting at home, in their underwear, with a gamepad in one hand and Doritos in the other has a every chance to get chance to play in a tournament and watched by millions and showcase their inabilities to actually bat.

Watched some videos of his batting on YouTube, and I have to admit he looks like a very very clean striker.
Obviously needs to get fitter if he wants to become a successful international cricketer but it's hard to question his batting talent if you watch those videos.
