That is why they get bowled out for 113 on a slightly bouncier pitch like they did in Windies. They need a flat track very much like 2015 Australian team a certified flat pitch team.

So, if someone is overwhelmingly favorite, has been winning non-stop leading into the cup, but don't win the cup or reach the final, that is not a choke and/or bottling?

If you think it's not, then it's ok, that's your opinion.

20 overs from Phelu, Prieo and Duminy will cost SA.

England will look to negotiate(for Eng negotiating is scoring at 6 rpo) Tahir, Rabada and Ngidi. Will go berserk in the remaining 20 overs. 370+ will easily be scored, unless Tahir does some wonders

But to know early starts are to accommodate the broadcaster (star sports) for the Indian public.

Nothing to do with cricket is a day game.

    Fair enough.

Being a favorite does not give you guarantee of winning the event though.

So any favorite that doesnt win the Cup is a choker?

It's not just 'favorite' in this case, I think Eng is overwhelmingly favorites and hyped up a lot. Rightly, based on their performances.

But, under nerves and on the big stage, they will bottle it.

Pretty poor bowling lineup by the looks of it.

Ngidi, Phelukwayo and Pretorius all look ordinary.

Rabada isn't great in ODI cricket.

Only 1 genuine spin option, who is also not effective as he used to be.

Infact no seamers have hope here. Only spinners will be effective on these dry surfaces. But they have to be a good spinner. Not random spinner. They will also go the distance otherwise.

Why people are thinking in One Dimension.
Dont You Think its not the bowlers who are regressing but pitches Are Generally more supportive toward Batting.
Even In Champion Trophy There Was Something for The bowlers .but Now you Have To wait For Decades to See Any Wickets

Where did I say he is average?

Kagiso Rabada is one of the best Test bowlers currently, also is above average and a good bowler in white ball cricket, not a great or sensation.

I can name some bowlers who are better than him in terms of ability and performances in ODI cricket.

    Trent Boult
    Mitchell Starc
    Jasprit Bumrah
    Patrick Cummins
    Jofra Archer has potential

Where are the people who were saying 350 won't be scored at the WC ??
Looking at the pitch even 375 is highly possible.

He can be explosive at the top. He may even surprise himself against England. Oflate England bowling is getting hit around.

South Africa missing a third genuine pacer, they need Steyn fit... Pretorius and Phehlukwayo won't get them anywhere.

Steyn would get smashed on these pitches. He's not even that good anymore.

If i see green tinge in Australia or India matches we have to investigate. India had two green tinged pitches for practice games.

They havenít been bowling to their full potential and have been trying things out you will see them bowling differently and better in the World Cup. Also please donít tell me you donít rate miller cause of IPL finishes.

Would be more of a threat than these allrounders at least. In reality, South Africa need the players they lost to Kolpak back.

Maybe workload of playing all formats and bowling so many overs has got to him. He used to have greater skill with the new ball previously with a bit more pace on average, now looks nothing special. His death bowling is pretty good still.

Hasan Ali wasn't great to begin with.

I saw Azhar Aliís interview today heís been playing there for a while heís saying the warm up pitches are the side pitches that have been used before the ones for the world cup matches are kept under cover and they donít play on them thatís why teams scored less runs. He said those pitches had been overly used in the county cups and donít make excuses already both teams play on the same pitch itís not like only India will be playing alone

SA pacers bowling styles are more suited to conditions in SA Aus and NZ.
They mostly bowl short of length and a bit wide with few length balls in between.
In england pitches are slower they need to be fuller and straighter, somthing Hasan and Juniad did very well in CT 17

We cannot use the argument "same pitch for same". Why not England play on green pitches ? They will be utterly exposed like other teams. They can use green pitch as long as everybody else gets green pitch. England batting on flat pitch and others when they meet each other on green pitch is scheming.
