It was ridiculous to not groom a specialist spinner in the last two years.
Shadab and Imad are specialist spinners just like Plunkett and Wood are specialist pacers and Markram is a specialist batsmen. You do not have to be as good as Tahir or Rabada to be considered a specialist.

Shadab and Imad have been backed for years now, there was no room for anyone else in the national team. Of course, there haven't been any outstanding spinners around the domestic circuit either.

White South Africans have been pretty mediocre over the last few years, generally speaking. None of them have been able to establish themselves while the likes of Rabada, Ngidi and Bavuma have become prominent parts of the Proteas. The quota talk should stop.

Pak are to be blamed for engs performance they made eng feel like supermen after the 4-0 thrashing.

Now that theyíre actually playing a team that can actually play a bit they're getting exposed!!

I don't understand why you guys are mocking England. They'll easily get past 300 and 300 is a good score on any surface in any era. South Africa have to bat very well.

Different conditions. This wicket is slightly slower than what we witnessed in Eng Pak series. Its ICC who is now in charge of wickets

Ironically when Hasan started he had 2-3 types of slower balls but I can't remember the last time he bowled one. Maybe the coaches have told him not to bowl it.

Relieved we're not having another 350+ bashfest.

Good total, but teams chasing have the advantage at The Oval.

Saffers gave away 20 runs too many I think. This could go either way.

Rabada is the culprit. For an ace bowler like him he should have mopped up the tail with ease.

Moeen is the liability in this England team.

Bilal will defend Inzy, Moeen, Tahir and Amla for obvious reasons like his life depends on it.

Butler's wicket is the most important down the order for any team. He is the one guy who can completely change the dynamics. Others can hit. But not like Buttler. Same with Bairstwo up the order. Roy is a lottery guy.
