Yeah but unless Bangladesh does something miraculous and upsets 2-3 and gets to the semis, pakistan will get help from this performance of BD.

No sir, Masrafe is a wily old genius. He knows how to buy wickets and even some of the faster bowlers lack that ability. He makes up his lack of pace with his brain. That's why you would never have seen him being taken apart.

I would not really term Bangladesh wins as upsets. They've evolved and started to win matches on a consistent basis. On flat tracks, they're as good as anyone. See for yourself how they're taking apart the so called best bowling attack of the tournament..

They'll miss Durant bro. This Raptor forward has Siakam & Mark to cover for KL's double teaming and Raptor's defense won't allow back court domination. I am certain it's going to be 2-0, but yes even without Durant, GSW has the best starting roster in NBA, probably with Phi 76ers (Not with KD).

PAK needs to help themselves first. It'll hurt but the truth is tough to fight with a bunch of average players, tougher with a bunch of average selfish players and toughest if that bunch is led by a specialist Captain who is probably worst in this WC in terms of appearance and tactics.

Better expect that this WC should restore some sense in deluded minds (not only in PCB), and they start to plan for next WC with 4 years at hand. Being exposed is one thing but treated like minnows in a WC in India (They should qualify easily) won't look good at all and that'll kill the interest of the game in PAK more than the isolation.

I don't think so. England were humbled when Pakistan blasted them in champions trophy semifinal and they will never underestimate the Pakistan side. They will still be wary of Pakistan side given Pakistan ran them close in the recent ODI series.

Bangladesh have beaten South Africa multiple times, including 2007 world cup super 8 match.

Average players huh? Fakhar Zamman is a champ; so is Babar Azam! Both can win Pakistan matches. Hassan Ali hasn't hit form yet but him along with shadab/Amir can all win games in their day. Pakistan has plenty of match winners and that's why I wouldn't be so quick to write them off!

Anyway, Bangladesh is playing really well and anything below 335 would be dissappinting from this stage. 350 is possible too!

They are better players than their average - started career at school age for an emerging team, hence initial career stats had taken a hit. PAK players stats are super inflated by minnow bashing and from bilaterals, that too often in dead rubbers, when opponents have rested some of their bowlers. Do an analysis of PAK batsmen against top 4 bowlers of every country above SRL, you'll see the real picture.

Mushfiq is criminally underrated, he has been a world class batsman for 4-5 years now.

Scores consistently in all conditions against all teams and is comfortable against all types of bowling. His footwork, strike rotation, temperament and short selection are fantastic.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t get his due because he plays for Bangladesh, had a poor start to his career and has made bad press because of some antics.

Objectively speaking, at the moment, he walks into every ODI team as a number 4 except England.

And they are using their experience as a positive. Leading from the front. It is inexplicable how we are the opposite i.e. juniors to lead and seniors to provide the support role.

Definitely has to be a cultural block as the seniority complex is very wide in other fronts too. And it provides a cushion for mediocrity to thrive as there is no role model. Dare I say if Inzi takes the reigns as coach, this lazy culture will only flourish and we will be playing qualifiers for the next edition.

Very true...has all the shots, under rated for sure...a competetive guy...has all the shots, tends to stay leg side and target the off...its the antics that probably dont endear...but he's got runs everywhere...

You have two quality players - Babar & Amir. A good potential in Shaheen as well, while Haris's quality is normalized by his fitness. And, you have only one player that really plays for team - Fakhar. This was still good enough to avoid 4-21; but rest are pulling these players down.

For rest, everyone has own opinion and I am OK with that.

For rest, everyone has own opinion and I am OK with that.
For once I agree with you. Other than Babar, Amir, Fakhar and Shaheen everyone else is a bit garbage. I wouldn't include Hassan in that but he's fast going down the drain too. I said it before the WC too get our top 3 out and that's our line up done.

Hence why I have us losing every single game this tournament.

SubhanAllah. Excellent batting rebuilding. Good position Bangladesh in. InshAllah they’ll post a big total.

These two need to bat as deep as possible!

I dont think anyone can guess what should be the ideal score in this pitch. Anything under 350 is chasable. This duo should be in there till 40th over.

You'll agree lot more with me if you start to use your head first and try to understand what's written rather than who has written - then jumping on to key board. Something isn't happening there and that was true even before BD was 207-2 in 33 overs vs SAF.

It's batting position - if Shakib is to bat at 3, then Mithun actually makes better sense than Liton at 5. Power hitter is a flawed concept - it's about shot productivity & Mithun is quite good at that, have done it many times in league cricket, sort of specialist No. 5.

Have you read some of the BD threads here? They say, if you are to live in Lanka, you have to be Ravan .... I don't want to spoil it, but some times try some of the threads with a search option of "Bangladesh". ...... and what is left there is after long, long over time by Mods.

Thanks Bhai...good explanation....is it just me or feel Rabada and SAF on the whole are lacking in intensity....if they bowl like this....bangla is going to get 340+....and then will be the bangla spin twins ....
