Nah, this NZ team looks shot. It will be good for the tournament if they're knocked out, I can't see them offering anything for the SF.

The amount of easy singles and doubles given are pathetic in this match. It was all written well before the game had started. England have fixed this ride for themselves. Good luck India, you're gonna need a lot of it in the semis.

This is one of the worst NZ teams I've seen in a WC in a long time. Previous teams were less talented but offered way more fight.

Without the fortune we'd be right there with SA at the bottom of the table.

Maybe it was Hesson and McCullum carrying this team... there's no spirit and the selections and tactics are usually off.

NZ's bowling has been bad, but this honestly looks like one of the best batting pitches I've seen for a long time.

Not a good contest between bat and ball, but perfect for England's ODI style.

Surprised to see England being this cool in a pressure game. My last straw to clutch was that the crowd pressure isn't there. But that doesn't hold considering their last game was vs India and also a must-win. And the crowd was pretty much Indian.

Would like to see NZ 100/0 and see how Roooot and lot react.

How many double tons has he scored previously, for another one to come due today? While we are at it, why stop at a double ton, lets also wish him a triple ton. Won't do Pak chances any harm

This newzealand batting line up is deep. They all can bat till 11 ,if newzealand bats 50 overs kiwis will win .The current 30 to 50 overs will determine the outcome of the match,if some how england is restricted to 320 I back the kiwis to chase this.

I don't think NZ will get hammered by more than 120 runs. This pitch looks really hard for bowlers to get wickets if the batsmen don't take risks. If England get 400, NZ should be able to get 280 quite easily, and if they lost by 120 runs, Pakistan will need to beat Bangladesh by about 330-340 runs.

    2) England aren't winning it by more than 150 runs (and even if they win it by 200 runs, Pakistan will need to beat Bangladesh by around 260 runs & that isn't happening)

I think Bangladesh and Pakistan will be a close game either way.

If England get to 350, NZ will play smartly and reach 275+. Even England would happily accept that.

NZ won't think of chasing down 350 or even 330 and allowing any chance of them getting disqualified.

Ask yourselves this question, in current form and situtation...who does a flat track suit more?

I recon its New Zealand. England would never bat first on a track like this during a bilateral as they would back themselves to chase 380 odd in 47 overs

Pak players better pack their bags. Although watching England cry at the end of the match will make my day.

Pressure of chasing is huge in WC!

But this is NZ and what exactly is the pressure? They just need to get to a realistic score and they will be secure on NRR

New Zealand just cant be bowled out for 150

Forget a 300-320 prospective total, looks like 400+ is going to be scored. NZ will not even attempt to chase that because they will settle for 300 to protect NRR.

Show over folks, but I'm glad we at least took it the last week of the group stage.

Batsmen out of form and scoreboard pressure of a big total will be enough for England to win this.

NZ would be indifferent. But it would be good for WC and even cricket in Eng if home team plays the knockout and even win it.

We've had so much go wrong since the WI game, you'd think it's only a matter of time before it changes but nope.
