Jasprit Bumrah: First major injury after playing IPL and FC since 2013, internationals since 2016
Bumrah is a good bowler, but lot of questions are raised on his action. Many say its unsustainable
He has played IPL and FC cricket since 2012-13 and international cricket since 2016. This is his first major injury.
Now, for someone who bowls at 90mph,a injury ever 2-3 years is to be expected. Or is it not? Even the best and smoothest actions produce injury in bowlers who bowl at pace.
So should Bumrah's action really be of concern?

He might lose his pace, but because of his unusual action and great control on line and length I would have not been worried.

Many of us predicted that this would happen, the only thing is that it took so long, so it seems that he is made of up very sturdy stuff. He looks like a guy that will be fine in the long term if he is looked after.

He should be managed properly. No point making him play useless bilaterals and T20s.

Bumrah is going to London to see specialists i hear.
Also its being reported that Bumrah had no discomfort and the stress fracture was only picked up in a routine scan.

His unusual bowling action means he may get injured more and more.
I am actually surprised he wasn't injured more. That bowling action is tough on the body. It is one of the weirdest actions I have seen.

I think with this lower back stress fracture he will have to bowl less on average than before that bit is confirmed. Unfortunately his action meant he was always going to have a few injuries along the way as minimum.

His work load needs to be managed very selectively moving forward, use him in bilateral LOI series just prior to tournaments; in Tests he should play regardless and avoid the IPL, if he has to play in those then only during KO phase.
Ah, so this is what it feels like
