A team without any decent hitters. Bowlers are either too old or too young , no decent spinner at the moment.

Quite depressing to be honest - a loss in T20 inside 12 overs by 10 wickets is like losing a Test match in 6 sessions, by innings. Probably, first game also would have ended in similar fashion without rain. I am not feeling even the bitter motivation of calling few names here.

This series has convinced me that the 0-3 against SRL reserves wasn’t a fluke - almost similar SRL team actually has done much better in recent Australia tour and with their spin based attack, they should do better in Asian condition. On top of that Babar failed on those slow tracks - 0-3 isn’t a surprise any more.

Don’t know how to explain this; may be... “... scratching the bottom of the barrel”, are the most appropriate words - it would explain exactly where things will end - recall of MoHa, Malik, Sarfraz, Shehzad, Umar, Irfaaan, Wahab, Faheem......

This. Our batting played the main role even in the consecutive series wins we had. We scored 180 plus on 4 consecutive occasions, chased 170 odd in tri series final vs Aus in Zim along with number of auch performances however, since the last year or so batting hasnt been performing like before. Obviously experience of Hafeez and Malik is not there where they were decent (They had to go at some point) and the new guys will take some time to develop.

In tests we have already going through a similar phase post Younus and Misbah.

Our ODI batting is more settled and thus absence of Hafeez and Malik wont effect as much but T20 side will take bit of time however with guys like Haris and Rizwan 1 and 2 down isnt the ideal combination in my opinion.

The absence of Hafeez and Malik contributing nothing is not something anyone should worry about. They are bits and pieces cricketers who contribute nothing against decent teams.

We are an embarrassment making fools of ourselves against a far superior side. Should just return home before the Tests saving further humiliation otherwise it's gonna get a lot worse. We look like a team of no hopers or fish outside water. Ian Chappell was right in saying that Australia should stop inviting Pak to tour them, it's for the best. India and it's fans have right to laugh at us when we hardly have any player of international quality. There is no fight there at all that gives me any hope for the future.

Misbah as Chief Selector, Head Coach, and Batting Coach should address the media.

At some point so should Waqar. The batsman haven't given the bowlers a chance but the bowlers don't seem to have any plan.

My biggest issue with Hafeez is that he's not a No. 4 Batsman. He can't bat anywhere in the top 5. But when he plays that's where he bats. Malik at international level does not have a position where he thrives.

We never do well in a series Australia, never!. Next time the Aussies may give us one T20 and one Test. They must be fed up hammering us now. Australia B side can take our team to the cleaners very easily.

In last decade or so Aus has lost every series in India and UAE abd India has lost every series in Eng while none of the subcontinental teams have won a series in SA etc. Its part and parcel of cricket though in T20s better fight should have been shown.

Your expectations were wrong, hence surprise.

On player to player comparison it was minimum 8-2-1 to AUS (Imad better than Agar, may be a performing Irfan per of 3rd Aussie pacer for this particular series, and Babar-Finch a tie as well). That was on overall comparison, considering lots of “soft” stats by PAK players in UAE/Asian condition against under strength squads - make it in Australian context and count it in a scenario where Aussies are preparing for next WC, that comparison is 11-0, with only Babar a close contestant against Finch, rest 10 are hilariously one sided - and the guy did his part in first two games, so at least once the contest was decent; he failed today and it was rough ride .....

If it were a boxing match, referee would have stopped the bout in first round, on safety grounds.

Australia eased to a 2-0 triumph over Pakistan in their three-match Twenty20 International series, winning the final T20I in Perth by 10 wickets.

David Warner (48* off 35) and Aaron Finch (52* off 26) saw through the chase, but the victory was set up by the bowlers. After putting Pakistan in, the Australian pacemen ensured only two visiting players got to double digits.

They were restricted to 106/8, with Kane Richardson taking 3/18, and had it not been for Iftikhar Ahmed’s 37-ball 45, Pakistan wouldn’t even have managed that. The target was of no threat to Australia, given the form their openers are in. Warner and Finch closed down the chase in just 11.5 overs to complete their fifth win in six T20Is – the first T20I of the series was washed out.

Pakistan made a cautious start with the bat, with Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam waiting for the poor deliveries. The caution cost them, though, with Azam – Pakistan’s captain and their best batsman this series – trapped in front by Mitchell Starc. Azam reviewed, only to see the screen flash umpire’s call. That’s where the implosion started.

Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed off the very next ball, Starc sending in a typically quick inswinger that cleaned him up. Sean Abbott was then brought on, and he had Imam, on a 15-ball 14 at the time, caught at mid-wicket. Pakistan were 22/3.

It was then that Iftikhar closed down one end with a counter-attacking knock, but wickets continued at the other. Haris Sohail holed out off Ashton Agar – the only wicket to fall to spin on the day – and Richardson then ran through the middle order with the scalps of Khushdil Shah (8), Shadab Khan (1) and eventually, Iftikhar.

Iftikhar had batted valiantly to score a 45, finding the fence six times, but the Australians discovered he had a problem with the short deliveries, and he was caught attempting to hook one over fine leg.

Perhaps early wickets could have given Pakistan a foothold in the match, but the Australian openers ensured they were never in with a chance. Warner and Finch hit 13 boundaries between them, five of them sixes, as they chopped down Pakistan’s paltry total. The chase was over in no time.

Abbott was named Player of the Match for his 2/14 that began the Pakistan collapse.

Another dismal showing. Time and again we see how our batting culture has gone down the toilet. Last month we were undone by spin, now undone by pace. Babar and Iftikhar look the only ones capable of building an innings and accelerating, but the rest are painfully one dimensional.

Whilst the bowlers didn't have much to work with, what's also worrying is a lack of new ball threat and not a single world class spinner in the squad. How do we expect to compete in the World T20 ?

Poor selection and have been saying it for a while, even before the series started we knew we would not be competitive. Out of form and technique Fakhar, Haris not suited for T20s, Asif Ali one dimensional player, Imam is not a T20 player, Rizwan is not a T20 player, Imad is a club level cricketer. Irfan the less said the better, Amir gets a free ride the truth is if you want to persisit with him he can only choke runs and give u line and length won't get wickets. Wahab has done nothing to be in the team.

The best you have in Pakistan and what you can forma a team out of.

    Babar Azam C
    Ahmed Shehzad VC
    Umar Amin
    Kamran Akmal WK
    Iftikhar Ahmed
    Khushdil Shah
    Ammad Butt
    Zafar Gohar
    Shadab Khan
    Amir
Sameen Gul/Shaheen Afridi (They can swing the new ball and take wickets up front)

    Bench
    Hussain Talat
M Musa (needs to work on line and length), give hime xperience by playing him 1-2 matches every series and rotating your fast bowlers.
Hassan Ali (Was always a good T20 bowler, once he's back from injury see how he does)
Don't need a backup opener (Kamran can play that role)

Defeat is part and parcel of the game.

However, manner of defeat is important. If you lose without a fight, then it is a concern. Pakistan appear like they are under lots of pressure. They need to play fearless cricket.

I personally would bin Amir. He has been a shadow of that player that first emerged after his ban. He was dropped from the one day team before the world cup. They do say karma gets you in the end. He has retired from tests as he could not handle it and what does he offer now?

No pace, little swing and bats like a scared number 11. Get rid, the likes of Musa, Naseem, SSA and Hussnain are the future of our white ball cricket.

Pathetic performance. We are a rubbish T20 team. Sarfaraz would not have made a difference. He would have not done anything with the bat and his captaincy wouldn’t have won the game.

This is spot on. Amir is no Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib that we have to tolerate his tantrums. He is setting a bad example and if an example is not made of him, others will follow suit by quitting test matches. Pakistan is better served by focusing on playing bowlers who are wholeheartedly committed to playing all formats for the country.

Sadly Misbah was spot on when asked in 2017 as to how can Pakistan improve their fortunes in Australia. He mentioned frequent tours by the national side, frequent U-19 and A team tours, academy exchange programs. These things have helped the Indians tremendously and they were finally rewarded with a series win in Australia.

The tours would help, but teams like South Africa and Australia have a long term hold on Pakistan and they regularly spank Pakistan in Pakistan/UAE in limited overs and in tests increasingly. This is just generational mental weakness.
