Round 1
Match Day: Wednesday, 1st April
Venue: Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar
v
Pitch variation to be named by Monday, 30th March 23:59 GMT.
Team of 11 players (in batting order) and toss selection to be named by Tuesday, 31st March 23:59 GMT.
Pitch variation & toss call to be named by Peshawar Zalmi.
Pitch Variatons Available: Pancake, Road, Flat, Dry, Normal, Spicey, Devilish, Unplayable, Nightmare.
Ground Characteristics:
Bounce - High
Seam - Good
Swing - Good
Spin - Average
Deterioration - Low
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1st match is against Islamabad United at our home ground and we have to submit our pitch variation today, considering our best XI has five specialist bowlers and six batsmen, so we should go for 'Normal pitch' having equal support to both departments. Our specialist batsmen should be able to play 20 overs easily on normal pitch.
Regarding our Playing XI and batting order, we can go with following line-up:
Playing XI:
- Azzurri (LHB) - - - (Batskill = 85)
- Square Drive (RHB) (VC) - - - (Batskill = 85)
- ritzy_123 (LHB) - - - (Batskill = 95)
- Haider Ali (RHB) - - - (Batskill =90)
- Hadi Rizvi (LHB) - - - (Batskill = 80)
- Manager101 (RHB) (WK) (C) - - - (Batskill = 80)
- maddgenius (LF) - - - (Batskill = 40) , (Bowlskill =95)
- Wahab Riaz (LF) - - - (Batskill = 35) , (Bowlskill = 90)
- shahidafridi123 (RF) - - - (Batskill = 30) , (Bowlskill = 85)
- Hamad_H (LS) - - - (Batskill = 25) , (Bowlskill = 80)
- Sunny_majoka (RFM) - - - (Batskill =25) , (Bowlskill = 80)
Reserves:
- Azlan Khan (Bowl AR, LS) - - - (Batskill = 50) , (Bowlskill = 60)
- Lewis Gregory (Bowl AR, RFM) - - - (Batskill = 50) , (Bowlskill = 60)
- Carlos Brathwaite (Bowl AR, RFM) - - - (Batskill=50) , (Bowlskill=60)
- Shoaib Malik (Bowl AR, OS) - - - (Batskill = 50) , (Bowlskill = 60)

I think the lower order is a bit too weak. I'd swap myself with Hadi and come in (hide

Rest looks fine!

Round 2
Match Day: Thursday, 2nd April

v
Pitch variation to be named by Tuesday, 31st March, 23:59 GMT.
Team of 11 players (in batting order) and toss selection to be named by Wednesday, 1st April, 23:59 GMT.
Pitch variation & toss call to be named by Quetta Gladiators.

Ground Characteristics:

Deterioration: Low
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our 2nd round is against Quetta Gladiators on Thursday, so we have to submit our line-up by tomorrow. They have chosen 'Spicey pitch variation' which is bowling friendly, so I was thinking if we should use one of our bowling allrounder, maybe go with five seamers considering there ground characteristics.
Provisional Line-up:
- Hadi Rizvi (LHB) - - - (Batskill = 80)
- Manager101 (RHB) (WK) (C) - - - (Batskill = 80)
- Azzurri (LHB) - - - (Batskill = 85)
- ritzy_123 (LHB) - - - (Batskill = 95)
- Haider Ali (RHB) - - - (Batskill =90)
- Square Drive (RHB) (VC) - - - (Batskill = 85)

Our 3rd round is at Multan stadium on Friday and they are preparing a 'Normal Pitch' , so we will go with our Round 1 line-up (6 Batsmen, 5 Bowlers) with some minor tweaks. There ground has some support for spin, hopefully Hamad will do well tomorrow.

Match Day: Sunday, 5th April
Venue: National Stadium
v
Pitch variation to be named by Friday, 3rd April, 23:59 GMT.
Team of 11 players (in batting order) and toss selection to be named by Saturday, 4th April, 23:59 GMT.
Pitch variation & toss call to be named by Karachi Kings.

Ground Characteristics:
Bounce - High
Seam - High
Swing - High
Spin - Low
Deterioration - Low
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5th Round is against Karachi at there ground which supports fast bowlers. They have chosen a 'Dry Pitch Variation' which is a high scoring condition around 190-200 runs. We won today against Lahore on normal pitch, so should we keep the same batting order for dry conditions or promote our Platinum international 'Haider Ali' at No.3.
I was thinking we should keep the same batting order as maddgenius suggested. Team has to be submitted today so will wait for few hours before submitting.
Thoughts ?

Dry pitch might have something for spinner even though there gound characteristics has low spin. Secondly, I think on a high scoring variation, we will need best skilled bowlers, so dropping a 80 points player for a 60 skill bowler doesn't seem right.
You are playing tomorrow, that's certain.

Mid Season Contract Swap-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teams are allowed total 3 contact swap from regular local players and International player.
Teams captains are allowed 2 contract swap within a team (non international player).
And 1 Internation Platinum swap (to either existing regular International or from unpicked International).
The deadline to make any contract swap changes is Wednesday, 8th April, 2020 at 23:59 GMT.
Mid Season
Player Type Changes---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The team captains and the individual players can mutually agree to change player types if they wish, whether it be a personal decision or a decision to benefit the team.
All changes to player types must be confirmed by the player and his Team Captain in this thread. If the player doesn't confirm the change, it will go through automatically by 24 hours of deadline.
Changing both player type and/or bowling/batting hand for a single player constitutes as ONE change towards the quota. Changing anything again will count as another separate change, so make sure you get it right the first time. Each team is allowed 2 free player type changes.
All requests must have both the Team Captain and player in question tagged.
Format for posting player type changes (The changes must be posted in the following format, including the batting/bowling hand):
I would like to change [Player Name] from a (current role) to a (new role) - Player type change #(1, 2 or 3).
The deadline to make any changes is Wednesday, 8th April, 2020 at 23:59 GMT.
We have mid-season break and allowed few changes as mentioned above. Our current record is 2 wins and 3 loses, our both wins came at home venue and from our remaining 5 matches, we have three at home.
I am thinking of making following changes :
1. Sunny_majoka hasn't posted anything since we formed our team, so no point playing him all games as gold member. Instead we have @Azlan Khan who was very motivated and posted here when selected in our squad. I think we can change his player type to RFM bowler and give him gold contract, like this he will be in playing XI and be more involved as PPCL is all about ppers involvement and fun.
2. Secondly, Wahab Riaz as LF bowler (International Platinum) has been very inconsistent, we can replace him with Hasan Ali (RFM bowler) . Our gold Fast-medium has done well at home venue so he could do better as our new International Platinum.
3. Thirdly, our spinner has been leaking lots of run so I was wondering maybe we can upgrade Hamad_H contract to Diamond and make him an Off-spinner just to bring control to run-rate. Lastly for the benefit of the team @shahidafridi123 can be our gold RF bowler.
We have till 8th April to make these changes so please provide your input and thoughts.Last edited by Manager101; 5th April 2020 at 19:46.

I agree with the proposals but not too sure about the 3rd one. High contract pacer is much more useful I'd say.
Also, I'd propose that we open with Haider Ali and push me down to 3

Sorry skip @Manager101 - just capping off the uni year so been quite busy with exams etc.
As far as the team changes go, they are brilliant and I hope they work out for us. I did find some time a couple of days ago to reply regarding swapping me and Maddy G, but for some reason PP was very slow on my end and I guess it didn't go through. My thoughts were that MaddyG has been doing well with the platinum and has been consistent. Having said that, our batting has been our weak link so I'm hoping this change works well for the team and I can start performing at a Ritzy-esque level.
Looking back, I think @maddgenius's suggestion of a higher ranked A/R was a good one. But I think what we can do is open with a tailender and play the WK (aka Manager) down at #7 to provide some cushion.
Overall, it looks good and I hope we can get back to our winning ways!

For our next game, Islamabad has named a flat pitch, which should suit us hopefully now with our batting being further strengthened.
I suggest the following XI:
@Manager101* (WK)
#Haider Ali
@Hadi Rizvi
@ritzy_123
@Square Drive (VC)
@Azzurri
@maddgenius
#Hasan Ali
@shahidafridi123
@Azlan Khan
@Hamad_H
Toss: Bowl first
I don't think we need a cushion at #7 on a flat pitch, but I'd say have a platinum at #5 (myself, since Ritzy is doing well at #4) and then a diamond at 6 to sort of strengthen that lower-middle order that can then take the game deep and finish it off, especially in a chase - which we will be guaranteed to do if we bowl first since IU have opted to bat first.
Azzurri has finished a game off well at 6 before. Apart from that I'm hoping I get going with a higher contract and at #5. Hadi also needs to get going so I suggest move him to #3 since he opened last game.
Bowling is pretty self-explanatory; no all-rounders needed on a flat pitch so stick with the specialists.

So far our record on the different pitches reads:
Normal: W2, L1
Dry: L1
Spicy: L1
Dry doesn't suit us because of the solitary spinner but I feel like because we're batting heavy now, flat might actually work in our favour. We have to name the pitch for our round 7 home game at the same time as our XI for the round 6 game so we won't be able to see how we perform on a flat pitch before that game which sucks. But I'm tempted to go for a flat pitch for that home game.
Thoughts? @Manager101 @ritzy_123 @maddgenius @Azzurri
